Sunday morning was much as expected at my church.  It's a city centre church with a shrinking elderly congregation.  Except that we had a visitor - a young person just starting the FtM journey.  I hope he will come again, but there are other churches with more young people than we have.

Is your church generally welcoming to trans people? I attend a Pentecostal church which I know for a fact would not be accepting in any manner. They would try conversion therapy which is why I am in the closet at church. That hurts my heart because I hate lying and sneaking while presenting as a Christian. It feels so wrong.

I'm seriously thinking of finding a new church that is more inclusive.

Not "generally welcoming" but "strongly supporting".  We have employed an outreach and support worker with specific responsibility to the transgender and gender nonconforming communities.  I think she's the only one of those!  She's spent two years caring for people who have been harmed in churches that use conversion therapy and she's burned out.

I hope you can find a better church.  I'm in the UK and in a city that has a few very supportive churches, a couple of large extremely hostile ones and many sort-of-OK.

I go to the Methodist Church in my hometown. No other trans people  there but no one has had a problem with me. I'm one of the youngest at68!
