I'm experimenting using a higher more feminine voice in my daily life - its probably more androgynous as not venturing into the higher resisters. But the thing I find is I can sustain it until I need to discuss something complex - at that point I cant multitask thinking about both the subject of my conversation and controlling my voice at the same time. Anyone that's succeeded in voice feminisation, do you find that this just comes the more you do it? Is there capacity to start using your femme voice early on the daily, even if not fully refined? I'm thinking that progress can be made by just using in daily life and improving incrementally.

I had the same issue. If I initiated conversations I was OK, but it was a different story when I had to respond to an unexpected question. For me, it was just a matter of time. Continue practicing. Continue using your 'new' voice. It will slowly improve. Eventually it will become your 'default' voice, and conversation will become much easier. It may take several months, but it will happen. I've often thought that if transition were easy, everyone would do it!

Well I'm trying when I can. My colleagues probably think I'm going crazy as I'm randomly changing my voice.

Same for me, too. I start out with a higher, more fem voice and once I have to think a little more or I'm more emotionally involved, my voice drops.

Honestly I'm finding HRT so frustrating to be honest! Taking my meds each day and the cost of them and literally nothing has happened for 7 months now. Feels like I might as well take blockers to keep hair growth lower and leave it at that the very little the E seems to be doing.

I hope so as I'm not really feeling or seeing anything from it. I don't want to updose yet as could be too early.

I'm looking forward to end of the year as hopefully may have been progress and if not at least GRS and breast augmentation is near. It'll be near 2 years HRT by then.

Waiting to set off for my tattoo finishing. Honestly seeing all the anti trans news everyday is really getting me down even more now. The situation feels hopeless. The worst is it then just triggers all my insecurities about not passing. I feel in limbo and now just scared to be part of this world as a woman. Like today witn a loose t-shirt on I'll avoid the ladies and hold it in if necessary as i just won't read as a woman, so not worth the risk. This isn't freedom its punishment. I don't want to be a man but at least I felt free as one.

Keep in mind, the algorithms shape our feeds based on what they know about us. My friends don't get a Facebook full of transgender news because they aren't transgender. Mine?.... crammed with stuff about our community, and it gives me the positives and the negatives.

If the algorithm had any brains it would just give me cat pictures and fake video of a guy diving into a teacup. That's what I want the internet for.

Oh yeah cat videos are definitely great. I also get furry ones that make me happy! Baby skunks...they are cute too hehe.

I'm working daily on my voice now. Really just exercising the muscles by pushing my voice a little more each day. If i can gain headroom then I'll have room to work with intonation what maintaining a reasonably high base frequency. Like I'll never maybe talk at 300hz baseline, but if i can do 250hz then ive got headroom to 300hz to vary intonation.  Whev it comes to perfecting my resonance then pitch wont be stopping me.

About a month ago i could only reach 220Hz begore breaking!

That seems to me to be an astonishigly good result Charlotte. Women rarely spend the time talking at 300 HZ it is usually much lower at around 200-250 Hz. What app are you using there?

It's an app called VoiceUp. Its not the best as missing stuff on vocal weight, but i find the exercises good for building range and forward resonance. It is paid though. Just seems I get on well with it more than just videos. I like repeated structure.

But I'll look elsewhere when ready to focus on weight. Now I'm just going to see just how high I can get.

The Voice Tools app is free and pretty good. You can use the two of them together

My therapist had me using Voice Tools too. It's free and does a good job.
