Greetings to all! I am pretty new to all this. I have known I am transgender from the age of about six, it just seemed to take around thirty five years to feel safe enough to come out.

I am eager to healthfully and safely allow a deep honesty to fuel my transition into outwardly presenting as the woman I've always known I am on the inside. This is a most beautiful and scary process for me and I look forward to learning about others journeys as I step into honoring a deeper authenticity.

It is humbling to see just how multi faceted and nuanced each of us is and how original and different our paths flow into being. There is so much to say and I won't be able to fit it in this first post, but I'll do my best to offer broad strokes.

After finally taking the plunge and getting some outfits and makeup, I was able to see myself in the mirror for the first time in this life and not want to turn away. Seeing me as her allowed effortless self love to pour from my heart in ways I never thought possible. It was truly one of the most beautiful experiences of my life and as I gain literacy and confidence, a deep inner knowing has warmed and settled me from the inside ever since.

I have so much to learn and am profoundly grateful for all the inspiring trans people who have walked these paths before us and I hope to honor and support others on their path as well here.

Hey there,

I'm Charlotte😻 and I too am pleased to welcome you to Susan's Place.

Your post is very interesting to read as you touch on some important aspects of your transition, whilst acknowledging that all of our different experiences influence you too. I can honestly say that your description of scary and beautiful is so true. Probably for most of us. But again in many cases for different reasons.

I note Lori has formally introduced you to Susan's, but I echo that this really is a safe space with no judgement. When you're ready feel free to speak your full truth as you feel comfortable. We are all excited to get to know you more!

Kind regards,
Charlotte😻

People tell me I'm successful, kind, amazing, I talk sense and got it all together.  Only some see the real tenuous paper thin foundation behind it. The terrified child protecting herself. But I'm strong. I'm gonna be better. I'm gonna start doing life for me. Not what I think others want me to be. Love Charlotte 😻

Hello! Welcome to Susan's Place.

This:

is really well said. This is a great description of what I just call "inner peace." Experiencing that and cultivating it within yourself is, I think, the surest path to being your whole self.

Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

Love,
Pema

Hi!

    Welcome!

Chrissy
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
