Have you shopped for a formal dress?
Have you acquired one?

I realize that the need for one may be small or not at all for many; but occasionally useful for some, and perhaps very nice business attire is required.  However, by "formal dress" this would be a "cocktail dress" or an elegant "party dress."

Was there a particular event or need for one, or did you simply want to be prepared should the need arise?

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Yes, a couple of them.  Getting ready to purge them and a number of other garments too.  I have some fancy heels with lots of bling, going to purge them too.  Bought them all on a whim.  I'll never have any place to wear them and they are just taking up space in the closet.

My very first dress I ever bought was an 'occasion dress'. I wore it at home several times, but never had an opportunity to wear it out in public. Until last year when I attended the Keystone conference and was able to wear it and show it off during the gala night dinner event.

For this year's Keystone I bought another formal dress. A girl can't wear the same dress two years in a row, can she?

I'm not entirely sure how to determine if they are definitely formal. I have one that has that kinda evening event vibe. I've worn it to work however. I avoid formal occasions wherever possible tbh!
People tell me I'm successful, kind, amazing, I talk sense and got it all together.  Only some see the real tenuous paper thin foundation behind it. The terrified child protecting herself. But I'm strong. I'm gonna be better. I'm gonna start doing life for me. Not what I think others want me to be. Love Charlotte 😻

I do not think I would really have a need for one unless maybe I went on an ocean cruise where there may be a fancy event.  I do not need them for business interaction or at conferences or community events.  I do not go to galas or balls or fancy award events.

I do not need a party or formal dress and no club/night dress is needed.  I doubt I would ever be a maid of honor either but those dresses I would be directed for fittings.

I do dress nicely at work. I enjoy wearing my professional outfits there.  I have been wearing dresses more than last year.  There are days I can wear less business formal too.  There are days I can even wear jeans.  Shorts or shorter skirts or skorts would be a no no unless perhaps at an office picnic off premise.

I don't know if it qualifies as a formal dress.  It is not a cocktail or party dress.  But I did get if to attend a friend's wedding.

I have several killer party dresses but they're all size 14 and I'm currently 18/20 :(

Nothing black tie but I did get in this really cute velvet vampire dress. Something that I definitely need to do make up and hair with. It's not something I could wear to a wedding after all it's black but it deserves an event more than a birthday dinner.

This is about most evening like dress I have. Its very beautiful with the side split to show nearly full leg!

Excuse the image quality...recessed downlights not great for photos, I like moody lighting!

Love the dresses, Ladies!

I ordered a red dress for Valentine's Day. That's as close to formal as I've dared venture.
