Claire Rose

Hello,

I look forward to being back on and, hopefully, sticking around for a while this time.  This is the 3rd time I have joined.  Previously, I went by Kara.  I've been struggling with this for a long time now, and apparently, the idea of it going away has not been working out so great.  So I am here to make some friends, learn a bit about myself and not run away like a chicken again. lol.  no promises.

So, Hello again (:

Claire,

Welcome back!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Welcome back. And I can say from firsthand experience that it never goes away.

Welcome back Claire.

I'm afraid if there's one thing we all have in common it's the realisation that this is for keeps, you can hide it, pretend it's not there, ignore it but it will always be a part of you. Personally, I think that's a great thing and I for one am glad I am this way even though life can be tougher! I wouldn't change a thing!

Hey Claire,

I'm Charlotte😻 and welcome you back to Susan's Place too!

I certainly appreciate, that in this journey there can be a lot of back and forth about who you really are, who you want to be and even getting to know yourself. It would be lovely if you are able to find yourself a bit more on this occasion, and share your journey with us here.

We are all super friendly, with many very different experiences as i expect you may be aware. Happy to assist with anything that may concern you or just enjoy your updates.

Kind regards,
Charlotte😻

Hi Claire

Welcome back.  It takes courage to come back and say openly that you have been struggling with this for quite a long time.  From what you wrote it sounds like something you have been wrestling with for years.  The fact that you have joined the forum before, stepped away, hoped the feelings might disappear and now find yourself returning again suggests it may still be an unresolved question for you.

That kind of back and forth can be exhausting and confusing for anyone trying to understand themselves and those feelings often grow stronger over time as many other members here on Susan's can attest to that.

It might also help to speak with a qualified therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist who has experience with gender identity issues.  Having a professional to talk things through, can provide a safe space to explore what you are feeling and help you gain some clarity about who you are and what direction will bring you the most peace.

You mentioned wanting to make some friends and learn a bit more about yourself.  This community is a good place for that, as many people here have gone through similar periods of questioning and self discovery.

In the meantime you are very welcome here.  Take things at your own pace and allow yourself the time to figure things out.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Best Wishes Always

Hi Clarie, and welcome back!

Third time's the charm, right? Honestly, the fact that you keep coming back says a lot — this part of you isn't going anywhere, and on some level you already know that. There's nothing wrong with needing to step away and come back when you're ready. Plenty of people here have done the same thing.

No pressure, no expectations — just take it one day at a time. We're glad you're here, and we'll be here whenever you need us.

Warm regards,
— Susan💜
