Quote from: Sephirah on Today at 02:03:43 AMI do not like Branston Pickle, but the guy made a perfect storm of annihilation, haha. To be fair, though, that's kind of what I do. I like the occasional cheeseburger smothered with mustard. I think because I hate ketchup. Never, ever use it. A good Aberdeen Angus or wagyu quarter pounder with some pink Cheshire cheese, smothered with Colmans mustard is... well... if you ever want the way to my heart... that's probably it.

Which is kind of weird because I am not someone who likes spicy food as a rule. I throw in the towel at Jalapenos. But  I can sink mustard with reckless abandon.
I have never tried a burger that way before. Think I'll pick up some angus burgers next time I'm out! Actually I've never had cheshire cheese before either. Could be a taste odyssey coming up.

Thing with mustard though is it's a totally different type of spice to chilli's. I wonder if you would like Wasabi then?

I do yes. I like sushi with lashings of wasabi on the side. You're right, it is a different kind of thing and I can't put my finger on exactly why. I think maybe because the impact is short lived where capsaicin kind of punishes you for ages. It blows your head off for a minute then it's gone. Eat something with capsaicin in it and you could have panting contests with local dogs for a good few hours, haha.

I do like a bit of chilli heat but I'm no masochist. I'm not a vindaloo girl. I love Japanese food too. Particuarly Tepanyaki and Yakitori but sushi is nice too. Don't get to have it much though. I do like wasabi in moderation.
