Do you "womanscape"?  That is, remove or reduce hair down there?

(See "manscaping" for a similar practice.)

Why or why not?
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Well that is a lot of good looking hair!

Stottie Girl

Yep, I do. All gone

I do it for me, not for anyone else. I started because I didn't have female pattern down there and didn't want anything protruding from the knickers but I have the typical hair shape now and still do it. I guess I just like the feel of it better. If I lost a bit more weight I might fancy trying a few different "styles"? is that the right word?

At the moment yes as it's easier for electrolysis. I keep it about 1cm long.

I actually prefer it natural so once I've had GRS will keep it that way within reason. Tidy but not all gone

I've been hair free down there for over 20 years, I just liked it that way.
I was manscaping, I guess I'm womanscaping now.

Other than medical people, only myself and my sweetie sees that area uncovered by clothes.
She likes it super smooth so I keep all of that area that way.  As she enjoys it that way, I am happy to oblige.

Never could see the point in shaving that area.  Only me, my wife and my doctor see it, and none of us care.

I do know from painful experience that, if you shave that area, you cannot ever stop shaving it.  If you do, you will spend six weeks thinking that there is a porcupine in your pants.  I had to shave for my bottom surgery, and I did the six weeks' penance.  I resolved, "Never again!"

You mentioned shaving for bottom surgery. I thought one to do laser or electrolysis to permanently remove the hair before they can to the procedure.

This appears to be a recommendation from some providers for some patients; but, apparently it is not required by all doctors for all patients.  I think an issue was ingrown hairs as a possibility.

The concern is with hair that is now on the outer skin becoming hair growing on the inner skin. Ew.

Some surgical teams scrape the skin and seal the follicles during the procedure to prevent that from happening.

In zero-depth procedures, there is no "inner skin", so it becomes unnecessary. But each surgeon will inform the patient of what they require for the particular surgery type they want.

Yea. Basically the only hair I have is on my head. I've been shaving my entire body for as long as I can remember.

Paulie

I was shaving the entire area for awhile.  Then, about 10 years ago I got an ILP device.

Dr. Brassard (Montreal) does not require electrolysis.  As part of his procedure, he does a follicle scrape which permanently removes the hair follicles.  Some people do electrolysis anyway out of fear that he will miss one, but I figured that he knew what he was doing and didn't bother.  The result is quite satisfactory.

The sweetie does not like the occasional loose hairs so I make sure she has had none to deal with.

Back when I first started shaving that area, there were a number of time I let it grow back in. (Once was for a physical, I had a male doctor back then and I let everything grow back in for a couple of months before scheduling it.)  I never had an issue with porcupine pants.

I had a friend that complained about horrible itching when he grew his beard in.  That too, never bothered me.

I wonder why it bothers some and not others?  For whatever reason, it's one of those YMMV things.
