Ever since I said I was going to bring you pics of interesting stuff from round my way I've woken up with Sciatica every morning and Storm Dave has been causing havoc! It's kind of put a dampener on things. I will get to it as soon as I feel able, honestly I will!

I didn't create this blog to moan on but it is a bit taxing being in pain every morning.

It usually wears off by mid-morning though so I'll see if I can go for a wander somewhere locally. You can't keep a good girl down for long!

Sorry for your sciatica. I hope you get feeling better.
If you didn't want to share pics you can just say so.  😋

So sad that yet again you've woken in pain. Hope you're feeling better by now and managed to make something of your day. Sounds like such a debilitating condition when it flares up.

Love and hugz

Managed to go for a wander round where I'l be living (hopefully) soon. Was only a mile or two but it's good to get the legs moving again. All the birds are courting and it's a gloriously sunny day today. Lifes pretty good when you sit down and think about it really. Fingers crossed I'll get out and about tomorrow.

I am so sorry about your sciatica.  I had it years ago, and it was brutal.  Spent a lot of time on the floor, with my feet resting on a chair, watching TV or playing on my phone.

Hang in there, and it will eventually fade away.

Yep spent this morning lying on my back on the floor doing knee rolls and bridge pose. Then just lay there, frightened to move! I'm glad you said "years ago" You haven't had it since I presume? So there is an end to it after all!

I had it and it took months to go and it has left my left leg weak, that was the side it was on. I hope you recover soon XX

My wife has a nagging case that comes and goes. Not debilitating but painful and annoying.  I think she got some spinal injections that helped.

It took months but it faded away but those months felt like forever.

Hang in there and do your exercises...and no high heels until you feel a lot better!

How did I miss this thread?  That was some serious catching up I had to do, and the thread is barely a week old!  You look great in that wig; moving is always a PITA (we are moving soon, too), sorry about your sciatica.  I love your flying dream.  Now, about those pirates, aliens and ninjas...

Right then, we're off on Sarah's world tour of Northumberland - episode 1.

It is a lovely day so went for a walk to my first castle location today. This is the ruins of Warkworth Castle. Built in the mid 12th century and owned by the Percy Family, a powerful Northumbrian family and still the current Dukes and Dutchess's of Northumberland. This was the home of one of Englands most famous knights Sir Henry Percy KG aka Harry Hotspur.
He was a legendary knight who fought in many battles against the french in the 100 years wars and the Scotts (regularly). He was instrumental in the deposition of King Richard II. He eventually rebelled against the new King Henry the IV and was killed for his troubles. Harry Hotspur was so famous he was imortalised in Shakespeares play Henry IV Part 1 and also named in Henry IV Part 2 and Richard II.

The castle was in use until the English Civil War after which it fell into ruin. It now stands proudly above the quaint little village of Warkworth on the Northumberland Coast. Handily not far from the harbour town of Amble and the best fish and chip shop in Northumberland. Guess what I had for lunch!

Castle is huge. Were you able to go inside? Cool way to spend a day.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I'm too cheap to go inside! Been in a lot when I was a kid though. You can go in and climb up part of the keep. There's actually quite a lot you can explore within the walls. You can't see it but on the other side of the cars is a moat (no water in it anymore) with a drawbridge going over to the gatehouse.

The beautiful river Coquet (pronounced Coke-utt) winds around the castle and village too. Along the bank there is sometimes a ferryman who you can summon by ringing a bell and he rows over and takes you over to an otherwise inaccessble part of the riverbank where a hermit used to live. He carved out a house in the rock face for him to live in.

It's an interesting spot.

Beautiful picture. Please keep them coming.

I love the history. I went to Washington DC and Boston. The history there is great. My wife likes to do the ghost tours. Not that we're looking for ghosts but you get a lot of the dirty history
