Have you ever done anything profesional? From what I've seen you could.

Ha ha! No I'm very amateur, I've just got good camera kit and get myself into lucky spots. When you see what I do next to a pro's work it looks pretty naff. But I'm learning and I enjoy doing it.

To be honest, I think AI will be the death of the professional photography industry and in fact it could be one of the first casualties, it is terrible what it is doing to the creative arts. People will always do it for the love it though. As long as the camera companies don't go bust!

A couple more from The Farnes. I think I will go out looking for something different soon.

A trio of Guillimots and a lone Northern Gannet (my favourite sea bird). There is an enourmous Gannet colony on Bass Rock, a big volcanic rock in the sea off Scotland in The Firth of Forth. That will be my next boat trip I think but it's expensive so I'm not sure if I will get there this year or not.

Urgh, this heat is unbearable. It is expected to be the hottest May bank holiday on record today. My car says it's 36C so it's likely 32C outside

Britain is just not equiped for this heat. No air con in homes, most places don't have it infact. There is no wind today either. luckily humidity is down at 40%.

lying in bra and knickers starfished on the bed! ha ha! Think I'm going to run a cold bath in a bit! Come back winter, all is forgiven!

Yeah, switch off your air con for a day and see how you get on! No air con anywhere except the car!

There's just no point in us having it though to be fair. It's forecast to be 19C tomorrow and it wouldn't be needed. No point in going to the expense, we just moan about it instead!

When we have a hurricane come through power usually goes out and then we have no ac. Our generator won't push it. Open the windows and fans go on high. Don't forget my work. On the floor it's easily 40c with high humidity.

Not trying to one up you. Just saying I understand your pain. If I were to come to your neck of the woods on you average day I'd be bundled up in thick jacket and long pants.

As a longtime desert dweller, I can vouch for Sarah's method of lying on the bed, starfishing in bra and knickers. Once it cools down, you can mop the puddles off the floor.
