I agree. I can get into the knights. I thought wellies were slipping on boots. I've heard cowboy boots refered to as wellies. No one on this side of the pond said it. Here, there boots. I have 2 nice pairs one is more for riding horses one is for dressing up

Ha ha! I aim to please!

I never thought wearing wellies and having a strop would be sexy lol!

Wellies is short for Wellington Boots named after the Duke of Wellington who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo. I have no idea why he has rubber boots named after him! Funnily enough my boots are Muckboots, that's the brand!

I'm going to have to include a glossary at the end of all my posts at this rate!

Had quite a nice chilled day working from home today, watching the farmer in his tractor from my window ploughing the field behind my house. I am going to miss this view when I move but I'm craving quiet and more space.

It's been a lovely sunny day today as well but apparently we have stormy winds coming over the weekend. Typical bank holiday weekend, grrr.

Might need my wellies and a brolly unfortunately.

Ok now what is a brolly?

Is it like a slicker?

A Brolly is slang for an Umbrella, I have no idea what a slicker is.

Yep I was drawing a blank on that one too!

@Dawn Kellie So the film "City Slickers" is about wearing a raincoat in the city? Thought it was about cowboys ha ha!

It's your turn to educate people, Sarah. ;D English is a hundred different languages. :P

All I would say is that you could have pirates and car chases in the same thing. I can even see the movie title: "Pieces of V8!"

*monster hugs*

I will be watching from the shadows. :)
