That's Southern speak they do not talk properly like we do in the North East!

Well tonight is a bit emotional for me. I moved out of my little home of the last 18 years. I don't do the final exchange until Tuesday but I've moved into my parents house to make things easier to move on the day.

I couldn't help shedding a tear or two looking at my home with bare walls and empty shelves.

Onward and upward I suppose. It will take a while but I will end up with a better home at the end of the day.

Wow that's it then. Its always a mix of emotions as you're excited to go somewhere new, but the old place holds memories. Then like you say its sad with bare walls as now that's definitely all gone. Pretty sure that'll all feel like a distant past once you get into the new place properly.

I hope being at your parents is manageable. At least it won't be too long.

It does indeed. I have a lot of work ahead of me but the end result should be lovely.

I have kind of a soft spot for the Geordie accent, honestly. And Scouse, and Brummie. :P

You wanted to move forward Sarah, and what you are doing is one massive step in that direction.

Congratulations for having the courage to initiate a change.

I've got to say I like the Scottish, Yorkshire, Norfolk and Cornish best.
These are mostly older folk talking so these are the OG accents. You don't see many speaking pitmatic these days. My accent is a mild blend of Northumbrian, Geordie and Wearside (not shown) but I can drift in and out of all three if I need to put it on. You would be able to understand me. I'm not as broad as Cheryl Cole for example.

Well I have now taken possesion of my new bungalow. It is now dawning on me just how big a task I have on my hands! I opened the back door to take a look at the jungle in the back garden (I could have sworn I heard Tarzan calling!) then promptly realised that the back door does not shut again! first order of business, fix the damn back door! Also the Garage roof has been leaking. That's a repair I did not realise I needed and has jumped right to the top of the priorities list.

I may not be on here quite so much while I get to grips with the task.
