Glad you got the cat back! One of ours escaped at the Calais border crossing and after 5 hours looking we had to leave without her. At 5:30 the next morning we got a call; they had her. It meant a trip to France and back just to pick her up. Cats are expensive. 🤣

Arrr @Stottie Girl ! Behold me new profile countenance!

Oh my Sarah what a night, you must be totally exhausted from that. Good to hear it wasn't for nothing and that you could save both your cat, and your things. I hope you get some well deserved rest and your roof fixed soon!

Hugs from Val

WOW, That is so much not sure I could have dealt with all that. When bad stuff happened my mom would close the door and we would go get pie. That is probably not the strategy that will work here.

So scarry when pet wanders off. My dog used to run away and we would spend most of the night riding around looking to no avail. She usually showed back up in her good time.
Leaky roofs no fun. I hope you have a long term solution to fix the roof or at least some buckets placed around.

Nice to have you back with us Val😁 I hope you've managed to get your login issues sorted!

No rest for the wicked! I'm heading back over there this afternoon to fix a broken window mechanism and take the kitchen/garage door off as it needs easing. The roof guy will hopefully be fixing the roof next week. there's £3,200 I wasn't expecting to have to pay. Still, he's removing the old damaged car port, cleaning the conservatory roof replacing gutters and clearing out the roof valley gutters in with the price.

I'll have two days away from the hoose Saturday and Sunday as I've got to get a coursework assignment done.

Wow, Sarah, what an odyssey. We have two cats who are strictly indoor dwellers. If one got out, I'd don't know what I'd do.

Oh, and roof leaks are the worst! And wall leaks, and floor leaks, and...

Let's hope it stays dry until then. Fingers crossed 🫰 if the guy has it fixed it should last a long while.

Lori Dee is working on my login problems, I'm sure we can sort it out.

Sod it. I'm back at my parents, I'll worry about it tomorrow ha ha! Just been enjoying watching the lightshow. It must have directly overhead as the flights have stopped running. Thunder was rattling the windows.

I love a good storm.
