In my previous home, my wife had to walk sideways between her side of the bed and the wall in order to get out from her side. It was easier for her to exit the bed at the foot of it! Add to that tiny closets and angled ceilings.

In our new home, we're talking about putting a sofa in the master bedroom. It's not huge, really, but it's blowing my mind.

The next one due for completion is the kitchen which is far from large also.

In the meantime, this is my dining room and lounge as it stands. A bloody mess! Hideous 70's carpet, wallpaper hanging off the wall, bare brick behind the fire place, bare light bulb in the lounge celing, horrible white walls everywhere. (I like colour on my walls). But the furniture sort of gives you an idea what I'm planning and what I am dealing with!

It's only on the lounge ceiling. To be honest it will have to stay as I'm running out of funds!! I have gotten used to it now. As long as you don't touch it it's safe enough.

About the "small" bedroom: Why would you want an ocean-sized bedroom? Bed, wardrobe, dresser, it is all there. Better to have that extra space (if any) in the living room and in the kitchen.

Thanks Anna! Yeah, I would have liked to have a larger kitchen and bathroom but that lounge diner is a lovely size. you can't see from the pics but the sunroom is beyond the dining room and beyond that the garden, so you have a lovely extended view through the house.

It sure is and it is a nice feeling when clothes are suddenly (or not so suddenly 😉 ) not fitting well and a smaller size is needed.

Your house looks lovely, Sarah!  Granted the fireplace area needs a little work, but I had pictured a bare shell with insulation showing.  You'll have it fixed up in no time.
