Hi gals,

I've decided to upload a few pics of my full facial surgery.

I had a 9-hour op under Dr Sutin. It included face lift, brow lift, orbital rim reduction, and nose reduction. He took about 1 to 1.5 inches of my forehead skin out, I think.

The photos show the immediate aftermath, including my friend who flew out for a few days to tend to me. That was incredibly lovely but created a dependancy syndrome and I was sobbing when she flew back and left me still recovering.

The final pic here is 7 days after the op, a selfie in the taxi on my way to PAI to get the sign-off letter and then to the airport. The change from just a few days before is pretty dramatic but it was still foolish of me to board a long-haul flight so soon after surgery.

p.s. in the second photo that's a tub to throw up in.

I discovered that I'm allergic to morphine.

You look very much more bandaged and attached to equipment than i was after mine! Bruising is very familiar though.

Thanks for sharing this Tills. It looks scary when laid bare like that but then you see the final pic and you look amazing! They did an incredible job.

Thanks @Stottie Girl

I do quite like that final photo. Minimal makeup, because of the surgery, and above all just a happy feeling which maybe comes through! I look back and wonder how on earth I looked like that just one week after the bruising photos. Dr Sutin did a fantastic job.

I avoided makeup completely until I returned to the UK. Then was going out so put on to hide the light bruises! I'll upload some on my blog later as a little different at the start, but bruises still the same!
