Finally Anna

Quote from: KristaFairchild on Yesterday at 08:04:58 AMNo one cared. So I did more.
I find myself doing just that, more.
Today's all androgynous-femme wasn't even a thing. I stood in front of the mirror and wondered if I should perhaps use the femme shirt-blouse (nothing androgynous about that one) instead of that femme-andro shirt. Well, there's always a next step.

Looking back just a few months the difference in my own mind is obvious. I enjoy being out and about in a bit more femme-leaning clothing. And a bit more, ...
All-male is still doable, bit it's not me. It's just not me.
☺️
All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.
To thine own self be true.

Out to self since March 5, 2026. My wife knows it all since June 23.
Integration ongoing. I'll cross the transition bridge when I get to it.

I was on a pendulum of joy and fear, but there was one obvious pattern.

I could not retreat. Once I wore colored polish, that became a norm. Once I went to dangly earrings, the studs were rarely worn. Fear or no fear, I advanced toward being myself.

I keep thinking about your wife saying, "did you remember to take your estradiol?"

Once my wife was on board, my life changed rapidly.

Not my wife though, but Petunia's.
My wife is on board, so far, but hasn't been put to "real" tests yet.

Quote from: Finally Anna on Yesterday at 07:42:26 AMAnother of those baby steps.
Went to the grocery store in all femme clothing. In practice it is a bit femme-leaning androgynous. Women's straight leg denims, lavender-coloured shirt (not tucked, I wanted it to be seen 😉 ), canvas sneakers and a zipped hoodie.
Femme perfume, that possibly can pass as androgynous.
An ever so subtle makeup, almost invisible, but on closer look the brows are definitely filled in and lip gloss (glossy, but very subtle colour) is visible for anyone that looks.

No one cared. Not a raised eybrow in sight. As expected. But still a baby step.

I usually find this too. Nobody really looks.

I tend to add sunglasses when I'm outside which allows me to avoid direct eye contact if needed.

Something else I've noticed, mainly when I'm in leggings or yoga pants, is crotch stares. Mainly from 20s and 30s women.

I never noticed this as a guy but I've seen it quite a few times as it lingers a few seconds. I try to make sure nothing shows, which I guess is the reason for the longer gazes.
And then one day you stop to find,
10 years have got behind you,
no one told you when to run,
you missed the starting gun

When she is put to that test, I hope she is on board for you. Hugs

I had to laugh at that, not for the mix up, just because our stories and paths are so similar.
