Quote from: Lori Dee on Yesterday at 12:47:47 PMIt's just clickbait.
Out of hundreds of mass shootings by cisgender white males, they cherry-pick the stories that will get people to click their headlines.
"The facts, although interesting, are irrelevant." — Albert Einstein.
Exactly.
The first time I heard this from people around me, I would ask them: "How many cis, white dudes have killed people since 8/1/66?" They couldn't give me a numerical answer and they didn't know the significance of the friggin' date. Clueless, yo.
Quote from: Jimbo01 on Yesterday at 10:58:06 AMI just don't understand the hate on this subject. The public have been conditioned "no men in our bathrooms"
I bet before this was a thing, those same "men" would have been in those bathrooms and noone cared
There's one wrong'un and the daily mail goes on and on about it (their website is massive)
It's like the "trans shooters" - they happen up have a manifesto...really
Sorry I'm going to curb my conspiracy stuff but I'm always skeptical when I hear that
You know how many times I was questioned in the MENS rooms? 100s. This goes back to even when I was a little kid. Keep in mind, I didn't have long hair until I was 21 or 22.
BUT, once I transitioned, I had only had one...ONE instance of being called out. Check this out:
I was at one of our local Dairy Queens, and I was making a beeline for the women's room. At this time of the day, the place was full of jr high and high school students.
I turned the corner, and there was a group of teen girls sitting there. Three brunettes and a blonde. I heard the blonde girl say "There's a guy going toward the women's room." Her friend's response? "You don't know who that is. That could be some butch chick."
I went into the restroom, took care of things, walked out, and ordered my food. I walked back to a table that was diagonal from them. No one said a word or looked my way.
When it comes to the restroom itself, I have been nose to nose with other women, and no one says a thing. Nothing. By that I mean, cramped quarters, and not, like, getting ready to fight or anything.
