Trigger Warning: This article discusses violence.

Brief summary of the article
Jordan Olsen writes that trans people are often excluded or deprioritized during difficult periods for the broader LGBTQ+ community. The article argues for stronger solidarity from LGB people, including speaking up, giving financial support to trans-led organizations, and standing with trans people in public advocacy.

Main Points of the Article
"When times get hard for the queer community, trans people get left behind."

"Right now, trans people are being labeled as domestic terrorists by sitting politicians. Hundreds of anti-trans bills have been introduced in state legislatures in recent years."

"Funding for trans-specific services is evaporating as government grants are reversed and philanthropy tightens its belt."

"In the face of escalating attacks, true allies are stepping up – not with hashtags, but with action."

"The T in LGBTQ+ is not an inconvenience. It never was. And the fight for our shared humanity is not a fight any of us can win alone."

"Speak up for us when we can't be in the room. Walk alongside us at protests. Give your financial support directly to trans organizations."

Best Wishes Always

The reasoning, as I understand it, is that LGB refers to sexual orientation, whereas TQI++ does not.

However, any attack on trans rights is an attack on the rights of everyone in the LGBTQ Community. And any attack on LGBTQ rights is an attack on all minority rights. And any attack on minority rights is an attack on Human Rights.

The laws may specifically target gender-related healthcare, bathroom use, or sports, but once they have that win, they will want more. Before long, we will all be at the back of the bus looking for Rosa Parks.

Rights are like muscles. If you don't exercise them regularly, you will lose them.

Fight for your rights, and you will be fighting for all rights. Times change, and so do the political boogeymen. Today it is us. Tomorrow, it will be someone else, and they deserve their rights as much as you do yours.
