We have a small clinic in Fargo called Canopy that offers care and counseling for LGBTQ people. You can get hormone subscription through them and they come from Amazon. Look for something similar in your area.

When you see something like health care/medications for certain individuals being taken away ask yourself who benefits from that.. In this case it's the health insurance industry.

Hello dear, saw this post noticed you're from fargo. We have the same clinic! Heidi is the best. I'm from 2 hrs North of there but it was the closest I could find for transitioning. It's always such a relaxing experience when I go there. I feel so at home. Would love to hear what your experience has been like with them. 😊

Ah, the old "phytos don't work" trope. This photo was the day before I went to switch to prescription HRT. Is everyone receptive to them? Obviously not. Should we seek out the guidance of a physician? Absolutely. But for people who can't, or won't go to the doctor, they can be a viable option. You have to do your homework. Lots of homework. My suggestion is don't use anything that comes in a flashy bottle with a busty girl in a bikini on the label. You're looking for herbal medications from the far east. I'm not going to give any more DIY advice than that.

Just one more thing: if something doesn't work for you, please make sure to say "for me" at the end of your sentence.

I found out over the weekend that... as of now....my E gel is covered. I'm still concerned, though. Why? The start and end dates don't coincide like they normally would (1/1/10-1/1/11, for example). It begins at the usual time of year and ends at a weird point in the summer. That doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence. But who the hell knows anymore?

When I was moving to the UK, my US doctor expressed concern about me being able to sort out my HRT because she was fully aware of NHS wait times. She asked how we could ensure my treatment remained uninterrupted. I suggested that she "double" my dose on paper and write me the longest prescription she could, which she thought was a brilliant idea. So she wrote a one year prescription at double my usual dose.

Now here's the part that's relevant to this thread: she told me that if I paid for it myself, the insurance wouldn't be involved. Ergo they wouldn't kick up a fuss. Additionally, I'd get the pharmacy's pricing, which is lower than what insurance would be billed. If my memory serves me correctly, I paid $154 for two years worth of medicine.

Oh, ok. Well if and when you do go, it's an amazing place! The whole crew there is just awesome. They really make you feel like you matter in this world. Faye was actually the first person there that I met. She's amazing as well. I had to stop my transition for a while, but am going to be restarting . Hopefully I can just pickup where I left off with the clinic. Time will tell! It's great to meet you dear, nice to know someone from my area here!!😊
