We can't give in. Before we know it they will put it in ham salad...shoot too late. At least we have peanut butter and jelly. I am going to check the ingredient lists just to make sure. They already got the pringles. is nothing sacred?

Now we have a proof and the transcript proves it. The infected the ranch dressing too. Isn't that the international dipping sauce, we can't let this stand. The Pickle Cartel needs to be taken down.

Quote from: Devlyn on Yesterday at 01:59:50 PMYou're overreacting. I'm going to have you talk to my friend Vin Egar. He's an expert on these matters.

@Devlyn is the spy. She knows the pickle king pin Vin Egar. She admitted as much. We need to locker her up and make her talk. I should have put this together on the last page but I didn't read ahead.

Do they still use the bright lights in a dark room thing or is it the good cop bad cop? I might need to watch more Law and Order.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I like pickles. I like Ranch dressing.
Together. It makes your mouth do strange things.
Definitely unique flavor, but easy to get tired of quickly.
Now I use it to marinate chicken. That isn't bad that way.

Welcome back Socket Seekers,

So yesterday we addressed the Pickle cartel and we identified one of their generals in the comments @Devlyn. I feel like yesterday's post set the correct level of seriousness for my blog.

But today, I have to take a break from trying to crack the pickle cartel to do my therapy homework. Normally I would procrastinate and talk about the Chocolate Covered Weapon of Mass Destruction that General @Devlyn posted pictures of.

Instead, welcome to my therapy homework assignment, and I didn't delay it until the morning it was due.
I told her I was thinking about delaying my move and my social transition.

I have a good-paying job and selling my soul for a couple more years means I may not need to get a new job.
I would need to live on a tighter budget and visiting Taco Bell isn't going to be a daily activity—my colon will like that.

But I could reasonably live on my savings and retirement money until I reach Social Security age.

The bonus is that this plays perfectly into my agoraphobia and anxiety issues. My therapist would say that those issues are driving this decision, but she has to be wrong at some point and I am choosing to believe she is wrong here.

In an act of defiance, I do the math every month in hopes of escaping. But mathematics keeps pointing out how delusional my plan is.

I am trying to decide if suffering through hiding myself for two more years is better than having to start over at a new company.

There is no safety net here. I don't have family to fall back on if the equation fails.

I have been with my current financial overlords for over a decade. If I extend my servitude with them just a little longer, I think the math might finally work out.

Money is the ultimate insulation. If I have enough of it, I can buy complete isolation, and isolation is the only place my anxiety feels quiet. Delaying the transition isn't just a career move; it's a tactical retreat behind a wall of financial security.

The other thing she wanted to talk about is that I feel like giving up on transitioning. I know I have said this before, but I was instructed by her to not bottle it up inside like I normally do.

I envision myself as one of those soda delivery trucks from the early 80s—the ones where when you roll up the side door, there is just a solid wall of glass bottles.

She has this way of going, "You seem happy, let's see what trauma is in all of these." Then she shoves over my nice neat stack of bottles that then explode.

Those shattered bottles unleashed a flurry of dark clouds that are taking over today's blog.
Then I end up crying and single-handedly funding the worldwide takeover of the Kleenex Corporation. Although she did say she is sponsored by Puffs. Follow the money.

So that is today's post. Not silly Pickle Cartel jokes today. Just stupid self-reflection.

Useless recap, yep they won't stop:
  • General Devlyn is planning an assault on the chocolate industry. It will never be the same.
  • Mathematics refuses to cooperate.
  • Delaying transition out of fear or cowardice.
  • My therapist is a 12-year-old with a BB gun.

Disclaimer: Kleenex, I am sorry I keep mentioning you. Please don't sue me; you will make mathematics more evil.

I don't know about your job situation and life circumstances (I only show up in your blog when they beam the Batman-style pickle searchlight into the sky) but for me the right time to start collecting social security was the day it became available to me, my 62nd birthday.

I did the research and followed the advice  that said if you wait until you're older to get a bigger monthly payment, you may not have the energy and health to do the things you thought you were going to do.

As I was getting winded reading the pamphlet about walking the entire length of the Great Wall Of China, I decided that the advice was spot on.

Oh, and you might put your eye out, kid!

Lori Dee

I think you are examining the facts of your situation with clarity. Financial situations affect everything from gas money and Taco Bell to healthcare and surgeries. That is important.

When I left the Army after 14 years, it was because I did the math. My back injury prevented me from any further promotions, and I had served at my current rank for nine years. I could have reenlisted for one last six-year hitch and slide into retirement with a pension and medical benefits.

My other option was to bail out and get a Real Job that included better pay and benefits. I opted to take my Honorable Discharge, file a disability claim through the VA, and get a job.

I am glad I did. Not only did I find work that paid much better, but it also had similar medical insurance.

Of course, six years later, I slipped on some ice, blew out a disc in my neck, and became permanently disabled. The "benefit" was that I retired at age 40, but I do not recommend this as a plan of action. It was painful and financially devastating.

Keep your options open. If sticking around makes sense, do that. If that changes a year from now, change your plans.

I was able to collect survivor's benefits when I turn 60, so I did that!
I can switch to my own benefits when I need more money.

It has worked out better than I expected.  The survivor's benefits plus an inherited annuity are about the same as my daily expenses. This year I started moving money from my IRA to my Roth IRA.  This creates a savings fund that I can take out the principal right now without being penalized, yet the capital gains and dividends from my investments aren't taxed if I wait 5 years.  I calculated the amount of money I can safely convert and still quality for Obamacare subsidies that pay for my health insurance.

It is all very complicated.

Sometimes we can't even wait tell our 62nd birthday because health gets in the way. I was watching a YouTube video yesterday and really it hit the nail on the head. Sometimes the timing comes down to health and other things especially for those like myself. Hugs
