I can get my Jeep into my apartment but then it would be really cold with the jeep sized hole in the wall. I may change it today its clearly failing and the last thing i want to do is change it in the snow.

Today is bonus post day on my blog. Its a music review of Dire Straits: Sultans of Swing, my reviews are a little different:

Snippet, I used profanity so you have to read it over there:
Normally I like albums, but today we are going to do the thing I don't like. We are going to talk about a greatest hits album. Today's album is one of those soundtracks of your life kind of albums. Good or bad times don't matter. When it's on, you turn up the volume so you don't miss a beat.

I own this band's entire catalog, but maybe it's laziness or that I just want to let it play all day, and this is a collection of songs that can't be separated. I am guessing you know the album from ...

All the more reason to fix the heater. You will need it with that hole in the wall!

Yep, A great band and one of the best guitar players of his generation in my view.

Did I mention I went to the same school as Mark Knopfler by the way 😁🤣🤣 Sadly I cannot play a single musical instrument so something must have gone wrong with the teaching since then!

I assume you have seen it but I think this is their best live performance I have seen.

A new blog post is on my blog, I know you won't click the link but I still want to share it with you:

The Couch Occupying Monster

This is important information Socket Seekers,

So Bobby arrived in 2015; you see, that year was a really rough one for me. My dysphoria was assaulting my mind and I was thinking about ending it all. So in an act of self-preservation, I thought about my past. Normally those are not fond memories, but this time I remembered a teddy bear I used to take everywhere. So in an ill-advised Amazon trip, I invited this monster into my home for comfort.

When he arrived, he was pretty great and didn't complain about the tears that would get on him.

He informed me later that he is the galaxy's greatest hugging bear and that he was on the run. Apparently, word had gotten out about his superpowers to comfort people and he was hiding out.

He picked me because I used to commute to work one hour one way, then work for 10-12 hours, and then commute back. That meant he could watch whatever he wanted. Also, my growing agoraphobia meant no one would find him.

At this time, I had been self-administering HRT to myself for over a year and I was sure I would never be accepted by anyone.

My self-loathing was growing out of control, ....

A new post is on my blog

Title: The Rock-and-Roll Family Infiltration

Description:
In my previous post, I told you about my squatter that is currently occupying the prime spot on my couch. In another story of personal space invasion, my brother has decided to invade my socially self-confined life again. He is also borrowing my car again, since he is flying up.

I got the latest installment in my email this morning.

I can relate. My youngest brother and I were very close, and I fully expected that if anyone would be accepting it, it would be him. I was very wrong. His religious beliefs have become extreme, and we have not spoken since The Talkβ„’.

He, too, was a country music fan, and I would often tease him about it, calling him a "goat-roper". It was all just jesting between close siblings.

I hope that when you get to have the talk with him, he will be more open than my family has been. I stay in touch with my parents. My mom has been very accepting and supportive. She has even defended me when my dad has made an inappropriate comment.

I have learned that I will not live my life according to anyone else's standards. I miss some of the relationships I had, but the truth is that I am happier without having to defend myself in every conversation. If they have a problem with how I choose to live my life, that is their problem, not mine. They are free to mind their own business.

Good luck.

Thanks I am thinking about moving up the letter to him to right after he leaves. I am getting desperate to share my writing with him.

@Lori Dee your books arrive tomorrow so I am excited to dig in. I am a slow reader so keep that in mind

I am having a strange occurrence I am having to remind my self of my male name when I have to go places. Is that a thing others experience? I am happy and worried at the same time. Did I ask this already? I noticed it today again.

Let me know what you think. I'd love the feedback.

Maybe hint to him while he is there to kind of gauge his reaction.

I hope it goes well.

Another excellent posting Tammy!

I can't relate to telling a brother as I am an only child but I can relate to being afraid to tell family members namely my father.

Unlike your brother I have a strong feeling he is too bigotted to accept me so I fear telling him will be the end of our relationship.

If you think your brother will support you then I do think you should go for it Tammy. Take a chance. If I thought my Dad would understand then I think I would tell him immediately.

If you want to test the water there are tons of trans issue news stories out there that you could bring up to gauge his reaction but equally, if he does not react the way you hope that does not mean he will definitely react badly to you so I wonder if it would be easier to just straight tell him.

I know how scary this is for you though.
