Has anyone experienced getting easily excited being on hrt? I get legitimately excited now. Like butterflies in my stomach excited for minor everyday things that I to do and never batted an eye at previously.

Dear Alana:
Yes, HRT significantly affected my emotions.
I find myself crying over many various things that never affected me in that way before.

Hi Alana

On my first visit to see my doctor after deciding to change my life around I was given a prescription for HRT.  It was not known as HRT at the time, well to me it was not.  It was just a tablet that would grow your breasts and soften your features.

Anyway after visiting the doctor I went next door to the pharmacy and got the prescription filled out and then when I got my tablets I took two straight away in the pharmacy.  I could not get them down me fast enough!

Other than my breasts growing and my skin becoming softer, which were part of life, I took the changes in my stride.  The only other difference was that later on it was much easier to cry.  However for me I'm one who does not cry often.  Well give me a film or whatever and I will get teary eyed now and again

I cannot say that HRT made me more easily excited in the way you describe, Alana, but it certainly seemed to open the door to emotions that had not come quite so easily before.  Perhaps that is one of the lovely things about the journey.  Sometimes it is the little changes that make us realise how much has changed

Best Wishes Always

I sincerely wish this ws the case, but it seems to be the opposite here. Its significantly hurt my mental health. Hopefully one day it will resolve. Some days its amazing when i can see her, but emotionally its a rollercoaster which is almost unbearable.
