President Donald Trump delivered a shocking remark while speaking to a room of veterans at the National Medal of Honor Museum.

Trump visited the museum in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday and delivered a speech. After arriving late, Trump greeted a number of veterans and then delivered a speech, which was intended to "honor the extraordinary courage and distinguished service of these American heroes."

However, the president raised eyebrows with a comment about the Congressional Medal of Honor, which he said he would like to award himself with.

"The thing I really want is I want is, myself, a congressional Medal of Honor," Trump said, before a room of veterans. "And I've studied it. I'd give it to myself, I'd have no problem, but I'm not allowed to."

"Can you believe it? The one thing I'm not allowed to do," Trump said, earning a laugh from the crowd.
