Virginia state Del. Tim Griffin (R), a Christian, posted a video of himself expressing his rage at a school district for recognizing October as LGBTQ+ History Month.
The Loudoun County School Board approved the proclamation in September. It rejects anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination and says the month is "an opportunity to celebrate the strength, resilience, and impact of the LGBTQ+ community, whose contributions have enriched the cultural, educational, and civic life of Virginia and the world."
Griffin claimed the proclamation was recognizing a "transing the kids month" designed to get "as many kids into their transing program as possible."
He called the message of acceptance "despicable, disgusting."
"I hate to see this," he said. "Leave children alone."
The Instagram comment section is overwhelmingly filled with people slamming Griffin's take.
"Hard to believe you are a Christian," one person wrote. Another said he had a "mouth full of scripture and a heart full of hate."---------------------------------
