Am I the only one who had a naughty thought pop into my head upon reading "the gays and lesbians of Iran shall leap from the shadows into the welcoming arms of their countrymen"? 

Most of the bolded parts of his speech seem to point the same way...

...will lay down their prejudices...
...spontaneous beach parties and barbecues...
...a massive and gleeful unity!
...a sea of mutual embrace!

Or do I need to get my mind out of the gutter it's seemingly fallen into?
