Yes, you should see this picture.  The film is brutal in its presentation of an orphaned boy attempting to live his life as a woman in search of his parents. The film is set in the seventies in Ireland and the sound track will absolutely pull you in if you are familiar with the tunes of that era (as most baby boomers are).  It is an in your face drama with a strong dose of camp.  There is no discussion of gays, transsexualism, or transgender problems.  Rather, you live the life with Cillian Murphy as he portrays the life of Kitten.  The film is tender and painful.  It is difficult to understand at times even though the Irish accents are not thick.  You will need to pay attention.  I also believe that this is a film that you may recommend to friends and family to help understand our "condition".  ..... for it also displays our society's worst in its decedance, revolting hatred of humankind, and hypocritical views of religious sanctity.  If you haven't seen it, do so.

Cindi gives this film five stars and a "you go girl".
