Is it OK to have my T prescription filled and shipped from Australia?

Hey guys just wanted to get an answer here so I don't look like an idiot in front of my doctor lol. 

I'm from the US but found a pharmacy site from Australia that can fill my T cream prescription and was just wondering if that would cause any problems with customs for when it ships?  I know that the FDA allows non-narcotic prescription drugs to be shipped to the US providing the dosage is small enough that everyone would know it's for personal use only. 

So would they be any problems getting my prescription through customs, since there's no way to have it shipped with doentation that it's prescribed to me.  Does anyone have any experience with getting their prescriptions filled in Australia and having it shipped in.

I really want to use their company because the price is great for the cream and I REALLY want cream instead of injections, mainly because I want a steady stream of T and not a fluctuating daily amount.

So can someone please answer, so if I bring this up to my doctor I don't look like an idiot if it would be a problem?

The reason I ask is that in Australia, we have a scheme called the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, where the government subsidises the costs of pharmaceuticals.. The scheme is only available to Aus residents and you may find the price without the subsidy is close to what you would pay in the US..

For example, Testogel would cost me AU$33.90 with PBS subsidy or AU$129 (or about US$125) without it. There are also restrictions as to what it can be prescribed for..

I was getting the price from the pharmacy and they said the price was in USD.  They said the price was better because it's a cream that has a higher absorb rate.  Btw since you're from Australia have you ever heard of Andro Forte? That's the name of the cream.

Just did some checking and it's not covered by the PBS, nor does it require a prescription. Given how highly regulated pharmaceuticals are here in Australia, I'd be doing some research in order to determine how effective this product actually is.

How can they sell T w/o a prescription?  I mean it says testosterone right there on the site.  Don't you need a prescription in Australia for testosterone?  Or is it readily available?

I also will state right here and now that even if it is a legit Testosterone product and you don't need a prescription for it, I would only get it WITH A VALID PRESCRIPTION.  I don't need any problems with the men in blue lol.

"Thus, in virtually all instances, individual citizens are prohibited from importing prescription drugs into the United States."

Now as Kelly_Aus was saying about not needing a prescription to get it.  Do you think that would hold any water for it passing customs if
1) I have a valid prescription for T AND
2) That company doesn't need a prescription???

Is that kind of a loop hole?  I hope it is, I'd really like a cheaper alternative for the cream.

OK so I just checked the Australian FDA -> TGA and it does have that company and product listed as Testosterone and the same dosage that it says on the site.

HOWEVER it says "ARTG entry for Medicine Listed (Export Only)" So what it can't be prescribed or used in Australia!?

I don't know about importing it (I'm in Australia) but I can tell you we do need prescriptions for T over here. They retain them at the pharmacy, and they only allow you to collect repeats at certain intervals. They're pretty hardcore - you can't even have the script transfered to another pharmacy (even within the same chain) if you move house!

Of course, that's for Sustanon injections. I'm pretty sure it'd be the same for cream (it's a restricted substance), but I have no personal experience on that.

Yes, the TGA guidelines mean that this product can be made here, but it cannot be sold here, with or without prescription.

Androman Forte from what I hear is bogus/mixed reviews. The price is in AUS dollars, not USD. It seems fishy because you do not need a script to get it if you're outside of Australia, big red flag.

Seems fishy to me too since they don't need a script to get it.   

Btw where did you find reviews on it???    Because I seriously spent hours looking for reviews to see if it's even worth it to bring up to my doc.

I was considering using it because it seemed so good. The info I got was mostly from body building forums and guys with low T levels that are looking to increase their levels with patches/gels. The overall vote was that it didn't do anything and almost never dried up.

I did a quick Google search, and the first 5 or 6 pages of results all seemed to come from the same source, the manufacturer.. Various domain names and slightly different site layouts - but they all seemed to be done by the same Web Design company..

Thanks man.  I did some research too and got some good results once I changed what I was searching for lol.  Did you happen to see the posting on livejournal's ftm or the study that I found from a Australian company that said it was good, but not great? 

On ftm someone said they used it and rubbed it in on their genitals and someone else said it worked but was slow. I don't think I'd rub it on my genitals though lol. 

And the Australian study was done with men who had very low T due to medical conditions such as castration and they said it worked.  It wasn't magic but almost all of them wanted to continue with the cream after the study.  And only one guy had a reaction and it was just mild skin and it didn't make him stop the study.  And they all applied it abdominally not on the scrotum as the site says to.  Though I think you can put it any where with fat, it just won't be as affective.

I'm just letting you know what I found incase you too want to bring it up to your doc.  It really might be a good product!

I think I was searching the same way you were, searching for Andro Forte?  If you search for Androman Forte you get way different results.  Reviews, forums, etc.

I have no intentions of using it since there are better options out there. I was considering it when I didn't have insurance, didn't have a script and didn't have a doctor.
