The latin term "sic", usually shown in brackets [sic], means "intensionally so written" to indicate to the reader that the mistakes in the statement are not transcription errors, but transcribed as dictated.

Oh, brackets ? In French we do it like this : (sic). I wonder why they made it different between languages.

Probably for the same reason we yanks write "color" not "colour".

But I equate anyone that writes IMHO in a post as being a wee bit feeble....
