James Arness, who played Marshall Matt Dillon of Dodge City in the old western series Gunsmoke has died. Gunsmoke was the longest running series on TV from 1955 - 1975. Those of us that are old enough remember that it was one of the better series we have watched. Main characters: Matt Dillon, Festus, Miss Kitty, Doc, etc. Link:

I loved that show and still sometimes watch re-runs. Miss Kitty was always dressed up so pretty, and Marshall Dillon was such a gentleman.

When I was but a wee one I remember my dad insisting on watching Gunsmoke every week.
I have seen quite a lot of Gun Smoke episodes.
RIP Marshall Dillon
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
