Re-watched Cemetary Man recently. It's an extremely weird, vaguely Nietzsche-inspired (?) zombie movie. I recommend checking it out if you can. It's from the 80s and stars Rupert Everett from long before he came out of the closet.

Actually, it's just something I picked up from the song Talk Shows on Mute by Incubus. There's a line that goes, 'The electric sheep are dreaming of your face', which I suppose in turn references the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick which is the primary basis for Blade Runner. Maybe y'all didn't need an explanation that detailed though...

Anyway, decided to rewatch (500) Days of Summer today, Joseph Gordon-Levitt seems to be a recurrence in my film choices.

I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up at like 3am. Party Monster was on so I had to watch it.

Prometheus.  Not bad but Ridley Scott could have done better by being slightly less expansive.  The success of alien was pretty much down to the claustrophobic atmosphere and low lighting of the Nostromo's corridors.  Here you felt there was as much reference to James Cameron's Aliens as there was to the 1979 original. 

It also took quite a while to understand why the 'Deacons' would point to a biological weapons factory in the archeological finds (It's a threat not an invitation i.e. Humans behave yourself or we will use what we have stored here.)

A most outstanding performance from such a talented actress. Rebecca Gibney (Packed to The Rafters) also carried a good portrait of her character.

If you can catch up with it, you'll definitely be entertained.

Paranormal Activity 4: 4/5

My first time seeing any of the Paranormal Activity films and feel now that I should watch the previous ones though the one that has the dog harmed I am hesitant to see as I tend to blacklist a movie once I know a dog or horse is harmed for example(I know it isn't for real) still haven't seen the Godfather trilogy because of this, Interesting film, laughed through the whole thing it was hilarious...I am certain that is not the reaction the makers had in mind.

loses a mark cause of it's predictability, especially since the cinema's sound system gave away build up to something happening, although the film was already predictable before i noticed the sound bass issue
