Hello all.  I know there is a thread not too far below this one with prices and docs, but I would love to see if there are any more updated info/prices out there since the last one is a bit old now.

For example, Dr. Tholan is now $9,000. That price was quoted to me today.   Quote a bit more than the $5,000 he started at in the other thread.

I was praying for a local doc, which would have been him....but I can't justify $9,000 when it is coming out of my pocket and not insurance.  If only he was still $5,000 I would be taking him cash Monday morning!!!  The closer to Minneapolis, the better... but I do have a free 2-week stay in Florida I can use too if it makes it easier....and cheaper.

Anyway, with the economy the way it is now, I am just hoping some folks can help out with updated prices (and locations is possible).  I would love to have surgery in the next few months and if the price is right.... I will travel. I don't need a perfect top of the line surgeon, just one that is good and have me looking normal.

Also wondering if anybody has used a line of credit they could recommend?   I have a decent amount of money saved up, but would rather not rob my whole savings account for the surgery.   So looking for a decent finance company too.

I paid around $7000 for mine. This included all doctor appointments before and after (no matter how many I needed), the different surgery fees and any and all procedures at can be done in-office (like touch ups). That helped out since I had to have a hematoma drained twice and a simple drain put back in. My surgeon is in central North Carolina (I know that doesn't help).

You were talking about Florida. As I'm sure you know Garramone is in Florida and last I knew his prices were pretty good. I don't know anything about lines or credit. I had it all saved up, paid with a credit card then paid the credit card bill off.

Send you a PM because I am very interested in the NC doc also. As it stands now I have a consult with Dr. Garramone a week from now.  I just don't know if I will have the money before then.  I am trying for the finance options on his website, but don't want to apply to more then 1 at a time and ruin my already iffy credit.

I went to Dr. Rumer outside of Philly, in Bala Cynwyd, PA:

Surgery costs (double incision):
Her: $5500 ($500 down which holds your appt.)
Surgery center (short drive down the road): $1150
Anesthesiologist: $850
To stay local: $350 ($50/night)

That was as of April '11.
