Mohawk?

I always wanted a mohawk and this summer I decided I want to get one. I am pre T so I look a bit feminie and a bit young. I don't know how to get my hawk and still look masculine. I think if I ask for it to be a bit wider that might work. What do I do in terms of the sides? I think shave them down to like a 1/2 inch so its not too bald looking. I think getting my neckline trimmed would help but scruffy might match and wind up being better.

I love Mohawks! I used to get one every spring. I think narrow is better. Your hair grows out too quick if you don't shave the sides. The best part is it usually takes less than twenty minutes before someone says something about it. Go for it!

i want a mohawk too! ive never had the desire to have on before recently, but i dont know how it would look. my hair really short, i have a 1 on the sides and a 4 on top, so i i would probly have to grow it out for a little while first

Go the military type mohawk. I had a mohawk for ages there, and am about to go back, and what I found was that having the hair long, and the band thin somehow ends up making me more girly. Shaving the sides right down to the skin, making the band of hair left over wider, and the length shorter seems to get rid of that. For me anyway 🙂

I had a mohawk a few months ago and it was a horrible idea.  It made me look like a total lesbian.  That being said, I think it looks great on some people.  I think the problem with mine was that it was too short and my hair is naturally curly so it just kind of poofed up.  I love mohawks and would really like to get another in the future, but I need to let my hair grow out again.  Just make sure you have enough hair before you do it.

Can't agree enough. I hate faux hawks. Either commit or don't, damnit!

I had mine back when I was still half-assedly presenting as female and I still passed half the time, even though it was long. And had pink in it.
I can't find a good one of it up, but here's what it looked like down.
Maybe about three-four inches wide? I say go for it. It's only hair, it'll grow back.

I love having a mohawk, I recently shaved my head again so I could have my mohawk back between jobs. I shaved the sides down to a 2? Maybe a 3(on the clippers). Maybe two or so inch wide mohawk. I'm bad with guessing things like that D:

Get a deathhawk! They're like a mohawk, only 100 times cooler (well, if you're a goth/don't mind using a ton of hairspray/looking like the 80's never ended for you). They're kind of like a normal mohawk, except bigger and fluffier.

Shanks XD That's one of the biggest reasons I re-shaved mine, I feel like I could probably start wearing my eyeliner again without being too terribly confusing. At least sometimes.

Deathhawks...goddamn they're so sexy. I don't think I'm going to be putting mine up much this time around, I always liked wearing it best off to the side (like in the picture) or pulled back.
