I am all for supporting a child in his or her development and not trying to impose others opinions on the child. BUT, while watching this show (only watching this episode because of Brock) I am almost getting the feeling that the mother is pushing Brock to be over the top to get back at the father who is no where to be seen or mentioned in the show. I do not agree with pageants at the exploit of the child which is how I feel the families on the show are. Am I the only one seeing an unhealthy relationship developing or later in life having issues with feeling pushed into a certain appearance? My parents divorced when I was you my mother nurtured me to be me and my father resented me for being me, yet my mother did not push me to be feminine and just let me make my decisions. I know this is a grey topic on nurturing vs going to far that it is pushy and there is no true way of knowing the parents motives without knowing the parent and that every parent has the right to raise their child how ever they see fit. My opinion may just be because how I feel on pageants and seeing a feminine little boy competing makes me think about how much worse my childhood would have been with my family if that would have been me.
