I've been binding for around a year and a half with the underworks tri-top.  I'm in between a small and a medium, though I usually wear the medium since its a bit more comfortable.
After a few months, I noticed that when I lay on my back at night, it almost feels and sounds like there's liquid or something building up in my lungs. It's not a significant amount and it's not causing any pain or difficulty breathing, it just makes me a bit nervous.
But last night, sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up with a sharp, stabbing pain on my right side, going from my back, through my chest on my side, through my ya know, and then down on the higher part of my stomach.
In the morning I was laying down and it happened again, it only lasts like 2 seconds and it seems to make a circle like movement, which is really odd and freaky.
And since I'm going through a lot of dysphoria with my chest with it being summer and all, and both my doctor and therapist (who doesn't have a lot of experience with transgender people) both tell me that I HAVE to wait until I'm 18 to do anything, so the random pain is aggravating me to no end.

Has anyone have had any pain like this before? or is it even binding related?  I know that the only way to prevent binding pains is to not bind, but its not an option right now.

I'm not expert, but just from there, I don't see any reason to think that it's binder related.  You don't sleep with your binder on right?

I think what you're experiencing could be any number of things completely unrelated.

For example, I all of the sudden started having a breathing problem, and I usually only notice it at night when I'm in bed.  turns out it's just allergies that I didn't have before, so now I use an inhaler.
And I have really bad period pains, which just hurts all random parts of my body, and I get those pains even when I'm not on my period.

So yeah, I don't know what's causing your pain or breathing problem.  but I think there are so many different things that it could possibly be and there's no reason to think it's the binder yet.

You should probably just tell your doctor and have him do some check ups.  You could have pneumonia and not even know it.
