HRT, walk and body posture...

I'd noticed pretty early in HRT that my walk wanted to change. More turned in femurs.
Often by not allowing this, I would get pains in the pelvis/femur joints. Usually on one side only, but sides also changed.
More recently I also noticed my pelvis wanting to be tilted somewhat more backward, creating more of a hollow back.
A more "hip-sway" sort of walk just feeling good. In particular when in 3" heels! Like swaying ones booty. Just a bit though, but still.
This goes hand in hand with sticking ones chest out a bit more, and actually walking more upright.
All in all these changes are subtle but noticeable, at least to oneself.
I think after 1 year HRT they might be quite normal. I noticed that no one seems to have mentioned it yet.

Any one to share similar experience? Might be interesting.

Maybe it's just good posture that accompanies a better sense of self.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Hi
I'm sure there's a chemical connection to your reaction, I've noticed the same about myself.
I can't really separate the self from the responses my body makes.
Not to say that ones self is not spiritual, but I think it's "body-spiritual" stuff that's happening on HRT. Hope it makes sense

it has been mentioned here before, the same symptoms you described.  We have previously attributed it to HRT (estrogen based) causing the pelvis to rotate slightly.  I also noticed this some time ago.  HRT works on all the soft tissues of your body, including connective tissue and ligaments, so I think there is something to this claim.

As Julie hinted at, walk and posture are not completely due to physical reasons.  Boys are taught NOT to walk like girls; it is a stigma attached to being culturally male in our society.  I know that once I released the male conditioning I found that most things attributed to female behavior just came naturally, including how I walked.
Girls rule, boys drool.

I have always had hips that were somewhat feminine in shape but prior to hrt walked with more of a 'toes outward' positioning. I have noticed that since being on E for a while it is much more comfortable to walk with my toes pointed inwards toward my center line which makes my bottom wiggle to a much greater degree-and I have noticed guys watching me when I look for their reflections as I go by them. I can tell they like the way I walk but they will never look me in the eye when I catch them!

I can't say with any certainty why it feels comfortable to walk this way now as opposed to the way I walked before-but I like knowing some guys are looking!

HRT changes a whole lot in your body, so it may not be unusual for it to change posture and the way you walk. For some, the physical changes of HRT may also coincide with the emotional changes of both the HRT and the joy of being able to be yourself (finally letting go of any 'left-over boy conditioning'). Bottom line; sometimes it is unsure whether a change is caused by actual physical effects of HRT or just the feeling of finally being 'free' (some call it gender euphoria).

Yeah! Isn't it funny?  ;) Guys just seem to like looking at girls walking by. I have the same experience, mostly if I'm wearing a new outfit and am feeling so great and confident :D

I have fairly extreme scoliosis and lumbar lordosis, so my female gait will never be "female" and I get discriminated for it highly when it comes to therapists who judge your identity based on "how female you already walk" (which is nuts IMO).

However, I will say that I walk much more female when I'm confident in my own appearance (which has been like once...). It's more hip, it's more strut, it's more toes, more head held high.

Otherwise, with my back, I pretty much limp at all times, it's really annoying.
