I've been on T for three weeks, and have some facial fuzz. Which is awesome because it means I'll probably get actual facial hair sometime soon. But I'm not out at work yet, and am not planning on coming out for another 4 to 6 weeks. It's gotten to the point where I really think I should start shaving so it isn't obvious I'm transitioning (yes, I am paranoid, and it already feels like everyone at work knows, even though I know they don't). If I start shaving, though, I might not be able to get a close enough shave and would then end up with even more obvious stubble or whatever. Or I might nick myself (very likely, since I'm ridiculously clumsy) and people might ask what happened. I know, I know, it's not that big of a deal, but once my mind starts going through all the "what if"s of everything, it makes me nervous.

So does anyone have any shaving tips, techniques, advice... anything?

I really wouldn't worry about it.  Even if they notice it would be really rude of them to point out your facial hair if they think you are a girl.  I get really dark stubble, and nobody has ever mentioned it.

What Lee said.

If it matters to you, though, you could always shave it. If you do cut yourself, just shrug it off. If you're worried about stubble, you could always cover it up with make-up.

I can't see anyone caring, though. Plenty of bio-females have facial hair.

I've been on T for 8 months. I shave my face once a month or less nobody tells the difference.

Can you afford a professional shave? There's a barber in my neck of the woods who does a nice shave with a straight razor. When I finally get a lot of facial hair (it's going to happen, I know it's going to happen), I'm going to book an appointment just so I can revel in the experience of being shaved by an expert. If you're clumsy, it might be worth it. Unless, of course, the barber misgenders you...which possibility I hadn't considered when I first started this post.

I forgot to add that razor nicks heal really quickly.  They bleed a surprising amount for about two minutes and then turn pretty much invisible.  A little makeup will hide them completely.
