LISTEN: AFTAH Interview with Ex-Transsexual Walt Heyer – Part One
"You can't change your gender," says man who tried

http://americansfortruth.com/2011/07/19/aftah-interview-with-ex-transsexual-walt-heyer-part-one/

Over the years I've interviewed or met many former homosexual men and ex-lesbians, but never an ex-transgender. Walt Heyer is one such man: he walked away from the transgender lifestyle – but not until after he'd undergone a "sex-change" operation that mutilated his genitalia, as part of his quest to become the woman in his head, "Laura." This interview [listen HERE] — the first of three parts — was pre-recorded and aired July 16, 2011. Heyer describes his troubled childhood — including being beaten by his father and victimized at a young age by his grandmother — who dressed him up as a girl. Walt was also molested. Heyer now crusades against "Gender Reassignment Surgery" and counsels others seeking to overcome the pull of gender confusion in their lives. He has also authored three books including his autobiography, "Trading My Sorrows," and "Paper Genders" – all available on his website, www.tradingmysorrows.com/. Please share this interview with your friends. — Peter LaBarbera,

Maybe there is more that one reason for having "a girl inside"? Some of his own and yet some more that he'd mention?
How about the famous lesser (female) neuron count of "lower stratum of the BSTc area of the hypthalmus"?

Why, oh why, would every one and her aunty tell you to see a gender councilor?!

He is obviously one of those ~1% that have regrets and now he is trying to justify his mistake by writing books about it and trying to yet once more offer a FIX for GID?

Ok, if anyone is sufficiently confused let him do all the reading --- come out depressed, and still have GID.

If you buckle and twist with GID all you need is a new saviour that may suggest to have your demons once more exorcised.

Although I do not think he is right to try and counsil others to not transition at least he has a point of referance, unlike all the others who work against us.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

I'd bet that plenty of those who work against us have experience as well, they're just not being open about it.

Not this guy again.  Do we really have to do this?  OK, I'll bite.

Some guy who is foolish enough to idolize a glorified fantasy in his head of what it means to be female, is not transsexual.  He never needed surgery.  What he needed was someone to bring his head out of the clouds.  Now that he realized how much it sucks to actually be a woman, he has started a crusade against transsexuals.

Sorry, Walty-boy, but it doesn't work that way.  I don't want to live your fantasy of what it means to be female any more than I want to try to live any other kind of fantasy, because it is not real.

This topic has been covered before.  People who have unrealistic expectations of transition are going to turn out disappointed.

Sounds like someone wasn't honest with their Gender Therapist and conned them into letters for surgery.
If they were less than honest with themselves, why should anyone else believe them.

I agree he never needed surgery in the first place. However, it may have sucked for him to be a woman. It may suck for others to be a woman. But, it definitely does not suck for me to be a woman!

I could make a better case against transition than this guy!  Not that I'm trying to, but his evidences are weak and somewhat fabricated.

There are enough ACTUAL problems with transition without having to make it up.
Ill no longer be defined by my condition. From now on, I'm just, Kate.

If you go through GRS and regret it then you are a fool. If you regret it and then crusade against it and try to prevent others from doing it just because you were too stupid to figure it all out then you are an even bigger fool.

I agree.  Not only did he fail to learn from his mistake, but he failed multiple times to learn from his mistake.  Where I come from, this is known as "don't have a clue"
