Hello!

MTF here, from Southern California (LA/Ventura County area). I've never really posted on forums like this with any regularity, but I figure I could use another support system during my transition, seeing as I pretty much school my therapist on trans-issues more than she schools me, and as my weekly support group self-destructs due to lack of attendance. So I'll probably be here often.

I'm two months into HRT, and while I'm not full-time yet, I plan on it by the end of the year, likely, depending on my comfort level. I'm not really yer average trans-girl...I tend to be very tom-boy-ish in a lot of ways. I felt a little pressure early on where I was telling myself, "Oh dear, I better really start getting into uber-girly stuff and pink and whatnot," but now that I realized that being yourself is the most important thing (and the reason for actually doing this whole spiel in the first place), I'm much happier. There are girls all over the spectrum of femininity, and traditional gender roles don't need to be terribly relevant.

Anyway, uh...hi! Happy to be here.  :D *does a geeky exaggerated wave*

Hooray!

Baw, I just spent fifteen minutes trying to figure out how to edit my profile like the spaz that I am, only to finally discover I need to post more. I could probably have used those fifteen minutes to make one post per minute and get perma-banned for spamming. But that would have been counterproductive, now wouldn't it? Especially if I plan on sticking around for a bit. :)

Don't worry, there's no one on this site who hasn't wasted 15 minutes of their time trying to edit their profile when they were new. >.<

Wonderful. Figured as much. Guess I'll fit in, more or less, kinda sorta, maybe. Probably.  ;)
