Never too sure about the 'not tested on animals' statements. The ingredients have been by someone.
Well, yes, but if you want to avoid any ingredient ever tested on animals, you have to avoid pretty much everything intended to be applied to your body. And most things intended to be consumed. Pretty much every chemical known to man has been tested on animals - the best you can hope for is to patronize companies that don't do animal testing themselves, so that at least you're not providing financial support for unnecessary animal testing, even if you're benefiting from it indirectly.
Re: the original question, I never wore much makeup, but the...um...stuff I use that I don't know what it's called. Shimmer powder? Sort of like glitter, but subtler/more adult. Anyway, that's MAC, as is my bronzer that I rarely wear. My lipgloss is some drugstore brand.
Never could keep nail polish on for more than a few hours, drives me nuts for some reason, and eye makeup irritates the hell out of my eyes (I always seem to get little particles in my eyes that feel like sand). And I have the same issue with concealer/foundation as others here, just looks like I painted over my zits, plus it also never remotely matches my skin tone. I'm not that pale yellowish-pinkish-salmon color, I'm a soft ivory-beige with blue undertones, which apparently doesn't exist in makeup.
