sorry for my comment... , but i think you don't understand... you don't feel anything, if they do  something wrong (surgeons), I don't mean orgasm

For me, the risk of permanent numbness or an inability to reach an orgasm was still worth having SRS compared the the alternative of being stuck with the wrong genitals and not being able to have ANY enjoyment of the rest of my life (I don't know that I would have lived to 30 had I not been able to have surgery).

while it may not be something on display in teh streets, they ARE on display in places like locker rooms and bedrooms.  And I refused to have a life of incongruence.

Maybe others can live with a different decision...I could not.  I fixed the birth defect.  Life is good and has now been good for about as long as you have been alive...

I support everyone's right to find that place where it's right for them, and giving them the freedom to live that life.

What I think Narela means by 'orgasm' is the ability to still feel those sensations caused by masturbation but experiencing them as a woman being penetrated would feel them.     I know that penetration isn't the be all of sexual intimacy but it is a major part.

Narela perhaps lives in a country were SRS is virtually unheard off or is wildly expensive and so she has come to embrace like me the status of non-op?   If you must know I think that Americans are so brainwashed by doctors, big pharma etc from their earliest days that they don't realise how they appear to people from other countries, especially non-English speaking countries.   Dr POH prescribes a healthy dose of caution and scepticism when it comes to doctors.

It's ever so much worse then you think.  It's like a religion.  If the doctor says so... is the only validation that matters.  It's all about the pills - medicine in America is measured in doses.

The consumer is as much to blame.

They take an ambulance to the emergency room for something they may or may not need to even see a doctor just becuase they read somewhere that they'll be seen faster that way (definitely not true BTW).  That they even go to the emergency room in the first place is becuase they've lived a life of "on demand" and the idea of having to wait (which oddlyl the ER is best at) is beneath them.  Regardless of how they make contact with a doctor, after all that time and money that they've spent they want a shot or a pill or just something, but the last thing they want to be told is to drink plenty of fluids, get plenty of bed rest and whatever ails them will pass.  Never mind that they certainly don't want to hear the words "infectious" when they have a life to live and have no intention of doing their part not to spread whatever germs they now have that someone else was too inconsiderate not to take basic steps to avoid infecting them with in the first place.

At the end of all this craziness is the doctor, usually a ER resident wishing they'd gone into "plastics" instead so they wouldn't have to moonlight at so many other ERs just to make ends meet, seeing their earnings get eaten up in malpractice insurance becuase it doesn't matter if you have a case or not, or even if the doc did anything wrong to begin with your lawyer told you you deserve a check.

I like how Spanish people talk, lol

She is not Spanish. For the first 150 years of Ecuador history only men from the south part of Spain (Extremadura and Andalucia) immigrate to Ecuador, as a consquence most of Ecuadorians are decedants of spanish and indians.  The people of Loja speak a pretty good castillian. I spent several years in Ecuador, wonderful people. It is also noteworthy to note that the Ecuadorain natives are a differnt ethnic group than the Incas in the South (Peru and Bolivia) or the Chibchas in the north (Colombia). The Ecuadorian mestizo girls are quiet pretty and enchanting.

I know, it still shouldn't be a life or death situation if sexual sensation is lost.

Some people orgasm by having their nipple tickled, breast fondled, just squeezing their thighs --- I speak about women.
For me, arousal is all in my breasts.  ::) If I lost THAT, it would be a whole lot worse than losing anything between my legs.

Sorry Axelle, close but no cigar. What the Princess wrote in Spanish is

"Hello Narela
Since you do not speak a lot of English, I thougth I was going to say something in Spanish. I hope you like to be among us in Susan and that you will make a lot of male friends."

Properly stated in Castillan it should have read:

Como tu Ingles no es tan bueno, te voy ha decir mis deseos en Castillian. Ojala que te guste estar con nosotros en el lugar de Susana, y que ojala hagas muchas amistades.
