I could give you a couple of million reasons why. And that's just the cost of the production, it's not even arguing about if it's Art. (It is, that's why it moves people). I did a couple of summers in the early 90s doing lighting tech work with the Gilmore/Floyd thing. It was pretty awesome (And not just because it was MILF heaven and all them MILFs were going to do that one bad girl thing they didn't do when they were young - Party with the band! Yeah, I can get you backstage. Ask me how. ) - huge. Beyond huge. There were two stages, two production companies, two of everything except David. We'd be doing shows in one city, and the other Group (we called them Group One and Group B - my idea) were setting up in the next city, and when we were done, we'd skip past them - leapfrog - to the next super-huge totally soulless sports area.
You don't need a reason to be moved by Art, that's what it does.
BTW, out of all the guitar slingers out there David Gilmore is the most unrecognized blues player around.
