About something androgyne-esque with my androgyne chums...what should we talk about?

The caffeine is just starting to activate the world. I think I'll get another cup of toxic swill. I remembered to take my morning meds already today.

and here I am thinking about dinner - timezones are wonderful things.

Of course,  GMT is the world's only proper time - Greenwich being the centre of time and space.

I have always wanted to be at the Int Dateline and step back and forth across it.

as long as we don't become "nattering nabobs of negativism" (Spoken by Spiro Agnew, but written by William Safire), who also penned: "hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history".

Int Dateline and step back and forth across it

OK there Jesus.  You realize that thing doesn't really run on any land, right?

I figure that with gps as good as it can be, one could position themselves with a line drawn across. But, floating back and forth doesn't sound like it would be out of the question.

Did you know the 4 corners monument is in the wrong place?

The old 4 Corners was, but the new one is supposedly correct.  Did you know that if you and three buddies went to that place (as we did) and smoked a joint while passing it to each other and walking around it's possible for the 4 of you to run up 32 felony counts on one joint?

I remember now something about that. I think it was the reason it was fixed, because it was so embarrassing to the DNR.

Felonies? just for a joint? Really? I guess I just took it for granted that unless you had mass quantities, misdemeanor or ignored. Are there still felony states? (my brain just fell off the edge into the 60's abyss.)

Possession with intent to distribute can be a fun one, even if the individual weight would only be misdemeanor possession charges...then you can also get into the prospect of possession in a drug-free zone if the park monument was handled in the same way as other areas oft-considered for DFZ provisions of Code...

And yeah, we do still have people in Texas working on life sentences for little more than stems and seeds before the law changed in the mid-70's.

Well it's not a park monument, its' on Navajo land I think.  And, for some odd reason, the Navajo (like Honey Badger) don't give much of a ->-bleeped-<- about federal law.  And back in the 80s when I was there it was still a felony in all four states, plus since you were passing it to another state, that's a federal violation for each pass.

Antarctica!

Perfect.  I'm sure we could raise enough money here to send you to Antarctica (only half of which is land, perhaps more now that the ice shelfs are breaking off).  Getting home however, you're on your own.

Not a matter, I'm thinking that getting there wouldn't be very difficult, either. It's pretty much turning into a tourist trap like 4 corners is, anyways.

I wonder if pot is legal there.

Hey, I like putting my big toe in four states at once! ;D  Now if only the monument was centered correctly...

What if you straddled it? You could be in both today AND tomorrow at the same time! Of course, with a joint you could do much the same LOL.....

Yeah, once the built the 4 Seasons and Intercontinental Hotels (and the Motel 6) there at McMurdo it's just a tourist deal anymore.  And it is, I think they are getting like 35-40,000 tourists a year now.

Apparently so, I was surprised they got more than 10K myself.
