i used to really hate it, but i got to liking it. i'm cello shaped, and if you just dress right, it makes such a difference. plunged necklines work for me. v shaped necklines work as well. i think this is helpful. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-488236/Trinny-Susannah-reveal-12-womens-body-types--you.html

At first I thought my height wasn't too bad at 5' 7" but most women around here in the U.K where I live are 5' 5" or under, so I still look a bit taller than many girls.  My biggest problem is my bodyshape which is too big on the upper body compared to the lower body. Transitioning into a female shape is a very hard thing to achieve and it's starting to get me down after more than 10 years of trying different meds and not achieving much.

My shoe size is a size 7 which isn't that big but my feet are wide so a lot of really fem shoes are too narrow for my feet.

at 5'11, i stick out like a sore thumb compared to most women. unless i was around a bunch of female models, it's pretty rare for me to find any females as tall/taller than me. i've noticed black women are taller, so it definately varies through different races. the next thing is, my shoe size is 11 1/2 in wearing male sneakers. finding womens shoes in size 12 is pushing it at most shoe stores. i just learned to appreciate myself for everything i am. my tallness makes me unique, and really distinguishes me from most females. it seems like the worst fear of a transsexual person is not being able to blend in with the melting pot of society, which goes deeper than gender really. i guess just be happy for being able to pass, and that's all most of us really wanted/needed in the first place.

One thing I am wondering, for those who have been on HRT for a while, did you find that you got noticeable fat redistribution in the hip area?

I have a good bone structure but my fat is deposited too much around the love handle area so it looks like took my hips and moved them up by 5 inches and just very strange. So I am hoping HRT will fix that.

I must dispose of those evil carbs. My belly is my only issue.

I want a flat stomach. Hopefully kickboxing will take care of that.

I've been on HRT for over 10 years and I haven't got any fat redistribution in the hip area. I too have fat deposited in the wrong place, the so called 'love handle area'. Don't get your hopes up as HRT may make it worse!

I suggest you try and loose the fat around your middle before you start on HRT otherwise the HRT will target the fat area you already have and make it worse which I think is what's happened to me. I only had a little fat around my middle before HRT and the HRT seems to deposit more fat in that area only. So loose the fat around the middle first and you may have a chance of the HRT targeting another area more favorable.

I'm 179 cm tall ( somewhere between 5 and 6 ft i guess), luckily my hips are broader than my upper body.  :)
Right now I'm still trying to get rid of those damn "love handles"
+1 for flat stomaches!

Today a friend told me that she was quite jealous of my figure and said I should be a woman.  :D

Definitely made my day! :)

Rebekah with a K-A-H

5'10" (1.78 m) and 130 lbs (59 kg).  I used to hate being as tall as I was (to the point where I became anorexic in an attempt to halt my growth), but now, I really love being tall, and don't feel any desire to be shorter.  My shoulders are still a little broad, but within the female norm, and I'm proud of my hips.

For the first time in my life, I love my body.  It's a really great feeling.

I'm curious as to how others consider anything above 5'8" "stare-worthy".  I know some people have talked about how they feel like they're taller than everyone else around them at that height, and I guess for the most part that's true, considering that 5'9" is (I think) about 2 standard deviations above the mean for women.  But if you otherwise pass, people aren't going to call you out on your height, I don't think- at least, that's been the case with me.  Tall women exist, ladies and gents.

There are barely any women taller than me, but sometimes I see them .  Today I saw  a handful of them actually when shopping , most around my own age or younger...guess today's girls get taller and taller ^^

Anyway, I'm 6'2, 150lbs and shoe size 10 I think ....not really a perfect start but having a litte bit of a more femme locomotion helps a little bit
  :) :-\

It looks like we all have good and bad points! I'm 5' 7" and size 7 shoe, I have no hips whatsoever, broad shoulders, very little breast growth and a pot belly. But I have a small nose and I don't have an adams apple!

My hips are okay.
I'm just so skinny.
I also have scoliosis.

I'm ...

5'3"
99lbs
Very tiny frame
Boyish body shape... bleh.
Size 7-8 shoes.

I'm pretty happy with where I'm at, bonewise. A bit of a waist, or hips, would be nice though.

Yes, I do - also since I have no other, - I might as well do. :-)

I like athletic women like myself with wide-ish shoulders and good calves/legs.
Few females my age can show up with any of that.
Nobody is perfect in any case - not even models :-)

I'm as flat as Kate Moss, nothing wrong that either. Not for her and not for me.

Oh, yes, and I'm 5' 6" which is perfect for my liking also.
No need to be too petit, since I'm not in any case...
