Thanks. :) And by all means, if people find it helpful, go ahead and reuse the parts that are relevant to you. I wrote it to help people understand and we all have people in our lives that we want to understand.

I must say that attitudes are changing in our favour. It's people like you that make me proud ;)

And that made my night. :)

I'm just a heaping pile of "I don't want anyone else to go through what I did."

I am totally with you on that. That's why I wrote a book on it and published it under my pen name Cindi Jones.  My other books are under my legal name. But I wanted to do SOMETHING to help others. It had a profoundly negative affect on my family though. There were dirty little secrets that they didn't want the world to know about.  I think to myself "What?".  While I pile on the religious aspects of what I was going through, I have nothing but respect for my family and ex-inlaws. I would never intentionally hurt them.

But so many refuse to even refuse to acknowledge that we even exist. They just wish that we'd go away. I tell them that it is a birth defect and there are at least two scientific studies that show that there may be real reasons behind it. It's like talking to a mad brick.
