Quote from: lauren3 on August 23, 2011, 12:20:24 AMCan someone help me? I want to grow my hair long and pretty and I'm not sure where to begin. Do I need to get it cut gradually over time or in a certain style in order for it to grow the right direction/way? Currently my hair is a bit retarded and grows quicker at the back than the rest of my hair, so often my hair looks out of proportion -shrug-. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of the best way from personal experience? Like any tips? Much love <3
Quote from: mechakitty on August 23, 2011, 03:49:11 PMIf you find a wonderful and knowledgeable stylist, you can basically leave all of this in the hands of the stylist, which is what I do, ha. My rudimentary understanding is that you want to do a trim once in a while to keep it healthy and remove split-ends. Find a good salon and let them show you the ways. Don't go to those chain chop-shops.

She was really, really good. I know there's all of those ridiculous Toni & Guy type places where super-amazing-popular-cool people go to get a cut ( ), but you don't need to spend $60 to have excellent hair. Seriously.
