Afternoon All

So, I'm booked for SRS/GRS with Dr Brassard for April 18, 2012.  Now I have been thinking of adding on Breast Augmentation (BA) to the procedure.  It adds another $CAD5800 for saline implants (it's only money).  My main goal for BA, is a little more volume, but really shape and positioning.

So, for pain management and recovery is combining SRS/GRS with Breast Augmentation - Good vs. Bad Idea?

If anyone has any experience, I would love to hear from you.

Hon, I asked that question before, not too long ago.

The feedback... it's hard to move with sore boobs and a sore pussy - to put quite simple.

Val mentioned it was a pain (for a short while though) since you need to use your arms some more to manage that pain in your butt.

If it saves some money I guess it's a consideration. Meanwhile I have decided against it and give mother nature some more time to do her thing up top.

Another t-girl friend had rhinoplasty (nose job), BA (boob job) and SRS and told me she would NEVER ever do that again. Too much pain in too many places. She had it done in Bangkok with Dr. Chettawut, and there is this return flight...

Yet, if you impatient - why, go for it. The pain will go and you young, that will help some too.

My 2 cents, hey

Recovering from two procedures is harder than recovering from one.  But you save money if you do two together.

As far as BA, I'd seriously consider cohesive gel over saline.  Brassard does that too.  He did mine.  They feel very natural.

^ I concur.

I haven't had SRS but I did have BA and I can tell you that the first week or so it was very difficult for me do simple things like lay down or get up from the bed, take a shower, etc.  I'm sure adding SRS to that will make everything much more difficult including dilation.  I don't know how soon after you need to start.

But like others have said, you do save money and you get it all done in one shot so I would personally do it.  Good luck!  :)

As soon as the stint comes out.  And then dilation owns you.

Personally i'd say it is not ideal... I had BA and SRS at different times but would not want having to deal with the recovery of both at the same time. BA was more painful and left me with little strenght for the first weeks and it is hard to things on your own like showering  and getting in and out of bed... I would not know how to keep up with dilation with the pain from BA (btw my implant was under the muscle). It is not impossible but make sure you have some strenght and reserves in your body.

Ha ha, i should think not if all done the first time!

Thr rhinoplasty is the most eeky of the three to me, parhaps because its the only bit i could properly relate to in my life irrespective of any GID/TS aspect.  Ie, i have had blocked noses before and never like the uncomfortableness of it and thr thought of the fixing plate seems restrictive.  The BA is next as over the years i have read more stories of it being more painful that SRS/GRS.

I think if i were to have had either of those done then i would want as much done at once as possible and 'get it over with' rather than spend 18 months or so going back to a hospital every 6 months or so and prolong the patient aspect.  Socially i think it would be best to do all at once too so that the 'new you' is out there and in peoples minds from day one, drag that out over many many months and you are likely to meet people who know you at various stages and perhaps miss others so that social confusion could hang around for far longer.

Thanks Ladies for your responses, this is very helpful.

I done a search of local surgeons and one indicated he has done BA on T-girls and understands the male chest vs. female chest structure.  Going to set up an appointment in the next couple of weeks and see what he has to say (and price too).  Thinking about doing this end of Feb (tax return invested very well)

Thanks again,
Jamie

Val, thanks again for an honest detail post.

Here's my question: How 'soft' is soft in your estimation?

A t-girl friend having had BA, sub-muscular, also cohesive silicon but round not anatomical. She went from 38AA i.e. flat to a 38C. Got REALLY nice aureoles and 2 'mounds' a bit like the Cheops Pyramids when laying on her back. (We just friends, hey! :-)

She had things to say, that she can't get any cleavage 'cause they are too firm. That is after 1 year BA.

You have a DD, great! But would you say you could do a 'stealth D cup' if you wanted to?
Like be flat enough, soft enough, to make the 36DD far less obvious as can be done with a natural non BA, say 36D or DD?

There is this 'fried egg' situation when laying on ones back with non-BA boobs. I actually can not imagine that to be so with BA. I like 'fried eggs' , I do :-)

Lastly, I have these questions because the idea of implants, and I once got THIS || close. Yet it just makes me shy away 'cause it be forever different to the more natural wobbly, floppy, kind and in particular for MY age.

I'd appreciate your take on my notions.
Thanks dear,
Axelle

I didn't want BA, but these cohesive gel implants sound pretty damn appealing.

I'm having both done at the same time. I was at one time thinking about getting BA seprate, cause I have heard that it makes SRS recovery tougher, but I decided since I'm already going under and it's cheaper that it makes more sense to get it over in one surgery. Whether or not it's a good idea....well I will have a better idea of that in a couple of months   :)
