Well, maybe arousal just HAPPENS to cause SOME confusion.
Depends how seriously confused you may get... really.

I feel it's completely normal to feel 'buzzed' and 'woozy' when aroused --- and any natal female will just feel the same. (speaking openly to quite some on this issue).

The physical side of it will be slightly easier to ignore for females (up to a point!) than the 'wake-up- call' from so much erectile tissue making things VERY clear with male parts.

But...
* ...discussed it with my therapist yesterday and the answer is, I have to un-learn 50 years of conditioning. *

Oh, really?! It may well be the solution for some, not for me.
It be like stop a dog from barking when it needs to.

If it causes GID, I can understand THAT concern. It may just be a reason to turn one's libido to zero by loads of AAs.
The side effect? Life be so much less vibrant and less energetic. YMMV

rylielove,
horses for courses honey, and books for the reader that reads them to confirm their own position, notions, thought, feeling, ideas, need for education... etc.

I'm fine with being arouse because I can handle it. If one gets THAT desperate for nookie, I guess it can become annoying, and more over a VERY sad thing, OK.

Never quite had that problem, so I like to be aroused at times.
As I said: The state of arousal is normal, - to be 'switched off' - asexual is not.
If it was, we would not even exist, quite simple ain't it? :-)

Okay sorry to get a bit too personal - but generally I'm a very submissive person. My fantasies involve being
dominated etc... This can be by girls or guys.. But weirdly and scarily when it comes to fantasizing about being dominated by a girl, it's always from the perspective of a guy. I don't really understand why .. Its got to be the only time ever I see myself in the male role.. It's scary feeling that being MTF obviously.. Maybe it's the fact that they'd be abusing my ugly male body .. I don't know I'm just ranting here but it worries me.
Maybe a fantasy is just that - a fantasy and I shouldn't read too much into it.. What do you guys think?

I think just THAT.

You be surprised what fantasies girls do have when aroused --- but we are conditioned (mostly) to keep them to ourselves.
One of those fantasies will inevitably be: --- to be a guy getting ravished by a stunning female. That's just fine if it works good for you. Hey! :-)

No need to make fantasies into realities, as realities very seldom live up to it.

My 2 cents dear,

I have a lot of experience with this.  Sexually, I am an extremely submissive person.  I've had a lot of the fantasies that you describe.  I'm going to respond to you via PM, since what I am about to say will probably be way too much TMI for this thread.

what helped me in my most confusing state was talking to a therapist - just the fact that i was verbalizing my feelings, my confusing to another human being made all the difference.  sometimes when answering questions others ask (like a therapist who isn't really real in your real life -  if that makes sense) your really answering them to yourself :)

I'd agree with that statement . Sometimes your fantasies are just a calling card to how you're feeling right at the moment. Not necessarily a statement on who you are. ie Sometimes you maybe be or do something stupid, that doesn't make you a stupid person. Sometimes you may cry, that doesn't make you a sad person.

These are just e-motions (energy in motion). Enjoy them for the colour that they bring to your life, but don't let them rule your life, because they change so much, and as human beings I believe we all need a little stability from time to time.

ps.... enjoy your fantasies, and maybe one day. You can share them with someone special  :-*
