For the memories of the friends and family you left behind.  I scattered my mom's ashes around a root ball of a blue spruce tree we planted near a place in the mountains where she and her teenaged friends went to back in the 1940's.   Grandma and mom's siblings were present at that event and they still tell me how she loved that place.  The tree is still thriving and me and the sibs refer it as "My mom the tree!"

There's a place here you can be buried in bushland.. They pop you in a cardboard box, dig a hole and drop you in it.. No marker, no embalming.. You just feed the earth.. That appeals to me..

The other option is a cemetery in a small country town in Victoria - it's on a steep hillside, so you are buried standing upright..

For as long as I can remember, it's been to be cremated and have my ashes spread at the base of a cherry blossom tree in Japan.  I was actually super-shocked the other day that the topic came up and my wife had no idea.  I was like, "Well, you already know what I want done when I die" and she was like, "Uhhhh..."

I'd like to donate. I'm an organ donor. Failing that, I think I'd be happy as a med-school cadaver. One of the few reasons I've wanted to go to med school is for the dissections. I'd like to give someone that experience. If my shell's not in good enough shape for either of those, cremation is the way to go. Scatter my ashes over some of my favorite places. The shore of Lake Michigan, the Grand Canyon, the rocky shallows of the James River.

Just don't cremate me.  Sell my body on the black market, use me for mine testing, make a rubber duck out of my body.....anything but cremated.

Well I've always told people to mummify me and build a pyramid to honor me and shove all my stuff in there with me. However the likelihood of that seems low, and even then grave robbers and archaeologist are a huge problem. I think I'd like to be cremated and buried. After any organ donation, We all become part of the earth, I'd like to simply become Ash, Then I can be placed in a chest and buried somewhere closer to my family instead of an expensive plot of land. That way my family gets a gravestone and I get assured that I won't eat their brains at a later date.

I srsly want to be frozen. It would be so cool to come back in 800 years and be able to travel around space and learn all the new discoveries about space and learn how society is now, and a bunch of stuff lolz.

And if it doesn't work then, oh well.
