I'm in between a rock and a hard place right now.
First off, I'm a senior in high school and for two years now all my teachers call me by my chosen name and such.
There's a group trip coming up where we will travel a few states away, so of course I will be forced to use public bathrooms and room with 3 girls, which I am extremely uncomfortable with, especially since the freshman and sophomores know me as a guy, but the group instructor has known me for 7 years now.
My only close friend in the group is not going, which makes things any more difficult.
I really want to go since I have spent 7 years of my life plus many hours outside of the group, and its my last year ever to be in it.
I pass 100% of the time so I get harassed every time I go into the women's bathroom, and the last group trip i went on, the adults gave me a hard time constantly because they thought I was a guy trying to stay in the girl's hotel rooms.  There's no one that would defend me if there was a situation in the bathrooms or what not.
If you were in this situation, what would you do?  I could suck it up and just go along with it, but it would be miserable.
I really don't want to get left out because of something stupid like public bathrooms or the hotel room.

Talk to whoever is organizing the trip and tell them you're uncomfortable with rooming with the girls. Usually they'll be willing to let you be in the guys' rooms. Pretty sure they won't make a big deal out of it.
I mean really, if it comes down to it wouldn't you rather end up paying more for your own room rather than being harassed on a trip by the adults?

It's either be miserable on your last trip with the group that means so much to you or be happy by being open with them about it.

IMO. =]

What if the boys object?  And they are likely to.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

My first suggestion would be the Dan Savage-approved "eff them." But I'm ornery like that.
Despite what my profile pictures show, I am a very smiley and upbeat person. I'm merely the least photogenic person alive, that's all :P

My guess is that Dan Savage was pretty good at defending himself.  And before you tell any guy - you know guy to guy - to ->-bleeped-<- off, you best understand what's coming next.

I'm going on a school trip next spring. What I did was convince one of my friends to come on the trip to, and then we talked to the teacher making hotel room arrangements so that my friend and I will always be in a room together and we'll be the only ones in said room.

Do you have any not-so-close friends, or at least a casual acquantaince, that you could be okay rooming with?
When it comes to bathrooms, I'm one of those weird people who despises public restrooms so much that I'll just drink less water and wait until I get back to the hotel room in the evening. Unless, of course, I happen to pass a unisex restroom that everyone else is ignoring.
