A GIRL trapped in a boy's body has made the brave decision to return to school for the new term as a girl.

The 10-year-old, a year six pupil at primary school in Worcester, was born a boy but took the decision with her family over the summer holidays to return as a girl.

The mother of a ten-year-old transgender girl in Worcester has told how adults, rather than children, taunt and harass her daughter.

The 36-year-old woman, who has not been named to protect her daughter's identity, told the Worcester News that while the girl's classmates had largely accepted her, other parents and adults had not.

(apologies for linking to this reactionary rag of a newspaper)

Ten-year-old boy returns to school after summer holidays as a GIRL as 'he believes he is trapped in the wrong body'

    * Boy had to lie about Christmas presents and pretend he was given Action Man figures instead of Barbie dolls
    * Branded a 'freak' by cruel adults when he dressed in girls' clothes
    * Mother says she knew something was different since he was two-and-a-half years old

This was also discussed on the two principal daily discussion programs today. Listened on one. Seemed pretty positive.

I must say I find the whole issue a little emotional. I can identify with this little girl so much.

The issue of the publicity being given to her is valid, but we can only hope this will have a positive outcome.

A BOY spoke of his joy yesterday at being able to go back to school as a GIRL.

The ten-year-old child — who has behaved like a girl since around the age of two — said his new life was "fun".

And the Year Six pupil added: "They've all been very accepting."

I just saw this on the news, I couldn't see it posted here so i've found a link to share this inspiring story:

http://www.newstoday.co.uk/2822/2011/09/trapped-in-a-boys-body-10-year-old-boy-goes-to-school-as-a-girl/

THE mother of a girl trapped in a boy's body has spoken for the first time about her experience.

The 36-year-old mother, from Worcester, who wished to remain anonymous, said her daughter had suffered at the hands of bullies, both young and old who had labelled them the 'freak family'.

She said her 10-year-old daughter had been into girl's toys and dresses for as long as she had been able to make her own choices – and was devastated when she was made to go to school dressed in a boy's uniform.

But on Monday the brave child made her return to school for the first time – dressed in a girl's school uniform.
