'Love will prevail' in transgender issues

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about a man named Jason who, when I interviewed him, was wearing pink nail polish and ballet flats. While it had nothing to do whatsoever with the topic at hand (he helps inner city kids build/earn bikes), I nonetheless wrote descriptively about his appearance, down to his "brightly colored tattoos covering his calves like patterned knee socks."

I also wrote that he was into trans-liberation, adding somewhat flippantly: "whatever that means."

This reporter, I hoep, is more open-minded about transgender people. She was educated by transpeople and she was open to being corrected. That's a good sign.
